The Wicker Man

Geoff, would this be the decent(IMO) remake with Nicholas Cage or the classic Edward Woodward version (1973)?

If you have seen the Chilling original version and then see this useless, no thrills, tensionless, badly acted, shite remake with Nick Cage hamming it up (again) all the way through, all will become clear. One of the worst remakes I have ever seen in my entire life and I have seen some.

I don`t think it`s as poor as everyone else thinks, but that`s just my opinion, not as good as the classic original but still watchable as a stand alone movie

I've never seen the original, so it'll be interesting to see how I take to it. :)

Just ordered a film that is probably utter shite to most, terrible acting but I`ve liked it since my school days....

Roller Boogie

This stars Linda (The Exorcist) Blair as a rich girl who gets involved with a crowd of roller skaters etc.

Great music IMO, obviouslt disco stuff from the end og the 70`s

    • It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.
    • Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.
    • Just ordered!   All three Magic Dance EPs (Another World, Kiss Scene and Haunting Me) combined into one CD. All new artwork, lyric booklet and three bonus tracks. Silver-pressed replication CD.     https://magicdance.bandcamp.com/album/magic-dance-the-eps
    • Stumbled upon these guys on the Instagrams. Pretty good mix of Modern Rock and Metal with blazing guitars and heavy double-bass drums, and Pop Punk-style vocals.
    • Well... I just jizzed in my pants.  I'm so glad these guys aren't a one-and-done act. Looking forward to much more music, hopefully.
    • Great album upon first few spins..I mean how good/catchy is the track "Lets Go Rent A Video" especially for those of us who actually remember doing that lol
