Ah, yes. I've been meaning to familiarize myself with XYZ. Where should I start? The beginning?

In a way that is a good thing, a lot of awesome stuff back then, and it's all new to you. I've heard 99.9% of the stuff from the 80's early 90's hard rock scene.

I like to think that way, too.

XYZ are killers, the singer Terry Ilous is awesomely good. He's in GREAT WHITE now, the s/t album is more glammy/melodic rock sounding, I believe it's produced by Don Dokken, and the second album, 'Hungry' is heavier. They have several awesome ballads too, 'What Keeps Me From Loving You', 'Souvenirs', and 'After The Rain' from s/t and 'When I Find Love' from 'Hungry' are my personal faves, but don't forget to check out the most bad-ass song in the sophomore, 'The Sun Also Rises In Hell' !

The Rasmus - S/T

Sturm Und Dang - Graduation Day

H.E.A.T - Address The Nation

Lordi - Zombilation

Looks like someone is on a Nordic streak...

Have you heard Lauri's solo album Jez?

Nordic streak indeed, which happens very regularly with me, as some of the best music is coming out of your part of the world and has done for quite a while now and long may it continue to do so. :beerbang:

Yes I have mate I have heard Lauri's solo, a little different to The Rasmus stuff, but still good. 'Heavy' is a great tune. I've been trying to find it at a decent price and managed a few days ago to find the special edition for about a tenner. On the way as we speak.

Believe it! If I had to choose only one country from which I could listen to music for the rest of my life, it would be Sweden. Top class in nearly every genre of music you can name

I agree both XYZ's are killer with the original lineup. Really every song on both discs are great and any fan of hard rock should love them.
