ALFONZETTI - Here Comes the Night

Lots of love for this one around here, but not so much from me. Good solid melodic rock with top class vocals, but it's under-produced and the songwriting's nothing special. A million miles from "Ready". Average.

there are a few dips in quality granted, but it remains a fact that tracks 2, 4, 7 and 9 are four of my favourite songs from last year so that is why it rated highly with me.

The above was only my first spin so will stick with it. Trouble is I played it back-to-back with the "Ready" album...

Me too, getting well into this one. Glad I checked it out on your recommendation. 'Life Left To Go' should arrive today too :beerbang:

Love both the Alfonzetti and Safetysuit albums. Of Alfonzetti, 'Heartbreaker' ended up becoming one of my favourite songs of 2011. Love it.

Some of the songs on the Safetysuit album, especially just after halfway, are just stunning.

Yeah, tracks 4/5/6 are flawless. Overall is still not quite as good a disc as "Life Left To Go" IMO, largely due to the modern-pop songs...
