Damage

Starring "Stone Cold" Steve Austin as an ex convict who takes up Bare Knuckle Fighting to help pay for a young girls heart transplant.

Quite enjoyable film but very cliched.

Wolfman - good film, makes a change for a horror to have a storyline and some decent cinematography instead of the crap churned out by the gore porn houses that make crap like Saw and Hostel!

"Santa Claus Conquers the Martians"

And you really watched this? Keef, you're a hero.

...or a masochist. I haven't decided which yet.

I have a weakness for films that are considered to be "the worst ever" -- whenever I hear about a movie that has that distinction, I am immediately curious to see it and find out if the film in question is really THAT bad. In this case, it certainly is.

When I bought it I thought maybe my kids might get a kick out of it, but after viewing it I decided I won't subject them to it after all. It might be considered child abuse.

Hell, I wanna watch it! How can you not at least be curious?

If you're serious, you can watch the film in its entirety on YouTube. Good luck getting through the whole thing. I suggest having an ample supply of malted beverages within easy reach before you press "play"

Oh, and I bet that theme song ("Hooray for Santy Claus!") gets stuck in your head for the rest of the day.

Heh heh! Thanks bud. I look forward to it--the movie, the theme song haunting me for a week, and the copious amounts of beer that will indubitably be involved. Cheers.

Top film...seen it a couple of times on TV over here, unfortunately they seemed to pretty much abandoned Christmas programming for kids during the "schools out" period these days.

"Batman Forever"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGytaGTK7j8

...Val Kilmer's lone turn as Batman is not the best of the series, but is still a entertaining enough entry.

By changing directors from Tim Burton to Joel Schumacher, the studio was obviously trying to turn the "Batman" series toward something a little brighter and campier than the first two Goth-inspired flicks. "Forever" still maintains some of the look of Burton's entries, but balances out the darkness of Kilmer's troubled Batman/Bruce Wayne with over-the-top hammy performances by Tommy Lee Jones (Two-Face) and Jim Carrey (Riddler). However, the introduction of Robin (Chris O'Donnell) feels shoehorned in and was not really necessary in my book... (Side note: where have you seen Chris O'Donnell lately? For that matter, where have you seen Val Kilmer lately?)

Oh, and bonus points for the addition of Nicole Kidman to the cast, who looked smokin' hot as the Batman-obsessed police psychologist, Dr. Chase Meridian.

Oooooh yeah. That's the kind of sugar Papa likes. :P

This would be the last decent Batman movie for quite some time, as the series completely jumped the rails two years later with George Clooney's "Batman & Robin."

  • My Little Pony

Bodyguards and Assassins

It's a Hong Kong flick starring the incredible Donnie Yen. The film was much heavier than I had anticipated. I was expecting just another martial arts flick, which it had--and there were some amazing fight scenes--but, overall, it focused on Chinese history in the early 1900s. I highly recommend it, but perhaps you should brush-up on Chinese history--something I'm gonna do now.

'Jennifer's Body' ; Yum! Bought this ages ago and just dropped bits of drool on the front cover every now and then, but finally got to see it over the weekend. Seriously not too bad a horror film in all honesty. Silly story, but done with enough humour to keep it pretty easy going but not painfully stupid. Nice mix. All you really need to know, though, is that yes, Megan Fox is in it and yes, she looks freakin' amazing in it. Doesn't hurt that the film's not too bad either, though.

'Breaking and entering' ; I liked it. This Jude Law guy is in a few movies like this. Subtle, kind of "real human" (lol) kind of stories. What are they called - arthouse or something? I don't even know, but I like them. This was another good one.

'Crank' ; pointless action flick about a guy who has an hour to live because of a drug injection, but he must keep his adrenaline up or he dies sooner... not too bad, I guess. It was watchable at least. :)

I love this film. Probably 90% due to Amy Smart though. :quagmire:

"Die Hard 2" - John McClane is "up to his ass in terrorists again," this time at Dulles Int'l Airport in Washington DC. Great fun, I may actually like this one better than the first "DH" film.

I like all the four films quite a lot! Just can't decide which one is better!

Yeah, she was quite sexy in it. I don't which movies I know her from, but I dig her.
