"Zack and Miri Make a Porno" (2008)

Kevin Smith's raunchy rom-com about a pair of lifelong friends and platonic roommates (Seth Rogen and Elizabeth Banks) in dire financial straits who decide to produce a skin flick to raise quick cash. Needless to say, this ends up causing some unexpected changes in their relationship. Far from top-shelf Kevin Smith, but it had its moments due to the likeability of its leads (I could look at Elizabeth Banks all day...). Your mileage may vary depending on your tolerance for wall-to-wall vulgarities.

Zoolander 2 - Pretty good, much like the first. Heaps of cameos

Very skeptical about this film. But... folks say it's not bad, so I do wanna see it. It's no longer in theatres, is it?

Can't imagine it's still in theatres as we saw it second run in March.

Don't be skeptical embrace the spectacle of Z2 it is flippin' funny. The cameos are brilliant. Billy Zanes back and the tie in to the first movie is straight up brilliant. Really good movie no lie. That is of course if you enjoyed the first one, if not than you will hate it.

Well, if you say it's good Terry...

...that's even more cause for alarm. ;}

"Mad Max: Fury Road" (2015)

30 years (!) after "Thunderdome," Tom Hardy takes over the role of post-apocalyptic ex-cop and all around badass Mad Max, who joins forces with a warrior woman (Charlize Theron) as she escapes from the leader of a murderous cult. As you might expect, lots of car crashing, shooting, and stuff blowin' up ensues.
The flick is visually impressive, with amazing stunt work but the story is strangely un-involving. It's a decent one-time watch but not something I'll ever revisit.

This is what you get when it's your 8 year old's turn to pick the movie...

"Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip" (2015)

Fourth flick in the family-friendly saga finds Alvin and his bro's traveling from L.A. to Miami, hoping to stop their "Dad" from proposing to his new girlfriend. Naturally they sing a bunch of songs and have many wacky misadventures along the way. Harmless kid stuff.

"Deadpool" (2016)

Wisecracking mercenary Wade Wilson undergoes an experimental treatment that turns him into a mutant super-assassin. A completely insane, over the top and entertaining as hell action/comedy starring the anti-heroic character from Marvel Comics. Ultra-violent and profane, definitely NOT a comic book movie for the kiddies!!

Was ready to crash last night and Joe Kidd came on.

Possibly the only Clint Eastwood movie I hadn't seen (or don't remember seeing)

Pretty good movie - kept me engaged till the end.

"Deathgasm" (2015)

"Black Roses" meets "Evil Dead 2" in this entertainingly sick 'n' silly heavy metal horror/splatter comedy from New Zealand (of all places). When a couple of suburban metal dorks form a garage band, they attempt to play an ancient piece of "evil" music ...which (naturally) re-awakens a demonic force that turns everyone in town into bloodthirsty monsters and threatens the entire world. Yep, I hate when that happens.
Don't get me wrong, this flick is dumb as a box of rocks but it's a fun watch, riddled with in jokes for the headbanger crowd and featuring a thrashin' soundtrack featuring Elm Street, Skull Fist, BulletBelt and many more.

Been loosely following this one for a bit now. Definitely on the watch list for all the reasons you mentioned.

From the trailers it reminds me of the Canadian tv show Todd and the Book of Pure Evil which was epic to say the least.

It's a hoot. Added bonus, my wife f**king HATED it, haha. I sez "Good! Now we're even for all those damn Twilight movies!"

I'm not familiar with "Todd and the Book...", but someone made the same comparison in the YouTube comments under the movie trailer so you're not the only one who's noticed a similarity.

yeah I love 'Zootopia', an Oscar-worthy movie definitely, but compared to last year's 'Inside Out', I still like the latter better

This one is pretty good too

    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
    • BlackRain - Hot Rock Time Machine Lee Aaron - Bodyrock
    • Now theres a blast from the past  I'm lucky enough to possess
    • Another i'm still awaiting the arrival of...same day release/delivery my arse Amazon  Still this is sounding like their best release thus far...they are gaining and getting better...although I did enjoy the last few albums also...but the sound/production from this one is excellent.
    • Still awaiting mine to arrive...should've been on Weds  or according to my order that was the case anyway
    • Yeah, there is a definite push on the re-releasing of their stuff this last wee while by them for some reason.
    • Interesting interview here with Bach...the last two questions/answers in particular in reference to Skid Row/Reunion etc... https://www.loudersound.com/features/people-vs-sebastian-bach-and-seb-bach-vs-the-world?utm_campaign=socialflow&utm_content=classic-rock&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAR2covrZvC9xSCBo0aqMdrb-qU1nfty_0b2EgkjXEJqky4jjjmEmNgnexj4_aem_AfoqfDFTPTSA8jlGrk7iVQzRORYpdsVqIjxpoIw9cPMFfOzUewS_2NC855to5qWjvm9Df9MxCY4AIaJk3EeZH0xk
    • Really dig this. Better than the debut and that says something IMO.
