'Black Swan' ; I dug it. From the same dude who did 'A Requiem for a Dream,' this one is not quite as "messed up," but similarly intriguing. Yeah, good solid film.

How the hell did I forget to mention the highlight of the film. A wikkid sexy lesbian scene between this: mila-kunis.jpg

I still can't believe that's Meg from Family guy.. :quagmire:

She can meg my family guy anytime she wants.

But because that was so poor I'll make up for it with this:

Isn't she the chick from 'That 70's Show' too?

Indeed, she played Jackie. Was sexy as sin then too. :quagmire:

BATTLE LA. It was good times. Kinda like Black Hawk Down but with aliens.

Going to see that in a few hours. Now I am watching "No Country For Old Men".

"Battle of Los Angeles"

No, not the current theatrical release "Battle: Los Angeles" (note the "Of" in the title -- totally different movie!), but a SyFy Channel/Asylum Studios ripoff with a similar name. So instead of Aaron Eckhardt, Michelle Rodriguez, and great special effects, we got Nia Peeples, Kel Mitchell (of Nickelodeon's "Good Burger!") and a whole lotta cheap CGI. Absolutely hilarious.

'The Rite' ; not too bad, but certainly nothing special. I enjoyed it, and it wasn't too scary for the wife. I think the most thought consuming thing for me was the end of the film, telling the audience casually how the priest that the story was centered around had apparently done 14 exorcisms in his "career" and Hopkins' character had done thousands. The film was, of course, based on a true story. So I am to get my head around the fact that an exorcism is an actual real life event? Wowser.

Battle Los Angeles. Good, not great. Worth seeing.

I saw this too. Same story as SKYLINE (it even has the same beginning where it winds the time-clock back) but not as good with the CGI. It's basically just a war/fighting film with some ridiculous aliens. Wait till it's on DVD and there's very little else out before even bothering.
