"Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives"

-- my favorite "F13" movie. It's a bit slicker than previous installments (while the first few movies had that sleazy "grindhouse" look, Part VI was obviously MTV-influenced), but it has plenty of action/carnage and some welcome bits of humor as well. Oh, and the girl who played the Sheriff's daughter is a frickin hot-TEE!

Ya mean her?

Yup, that's her. I didn't realize she also played "Elizabeth," the "Star Child" in the "V" mini series... seems that after "F13 Part VI" she retired, she never made another movie after that. Shame.

Anyways, last thing I saw was "Halloween 5" on AMC last night. Damn, I forgot how bad that particular chapter is. Its only saving grace is that it stars two of the hottest women ever to appear in the Halloween series (that chick "Tina" and her Kelly Bundy lookalike friend)... the movie itself is total poo. (and part 6 is even worse!)

"Trick r Treat" -- a very cool, creepy little horror anthology film ala "Creepshow" or "Tales From The Crypt," with numerous interlocking tales of terror that all take place in the same small town on Halloween; plenty of black humor to go along with the scares. This has been getting a lot of love from horror geeks and I can see why. Recommended!!

Yea, it was supposed to be released theatrically two years ago (!) I think, but it went straight to DVD (or to cable On Demand, which is where I saw it)... still a very cool flick either way...
