Nuno was interviewed about the solo. He did it as a tribute to EVH. They go back a bit. Once Nuno was hearing Eddie warm up before a concert and he was doing Nuno's intro from He-man Woman-Hater. Anyway, the solo in this track is supposed to be more of an interlude.

Never once crossed my mind that it didn't fit the song.  I love that part right after the flurry that begins the solo, as he begins to build it back up over the driving bass and thumping drums before the final flurry; which segues into another sweet heavy riff. 

I love the heaviness of the song throughout while still remaining melodic, Gary sounds good, Nuno rips it up and the final 30 seconds of the song fuckin' rules.  If the whole album is on this level, then an album I couldn't have cared less about will being vying for a spot in my top 5 this year.

I think Nuno makes the song. Rare for guitar to be the big shining light to a song and I think it happens here.
Also I love hearing stuff that breaks the normal tried and tested breakdowns.

Yeah, I've seen a few reaction videos that focus on the solo. I think that solo is gonna go down as one of the greats and rightly so.

I'm pumped for this album and I never thought I'd say that about an "Extreme" release.

This reaction video from Justin Hawkins is pretty cool.

BTW, Nuno Bettencourt has a very strong Aussie connection, or should I say, ex-connection. Here's a couple of clues for the non Aussies.

Agree.  For me, not as good as Rise but still okay.  And it's pretty cool they blast out 2 new tunes at once which is a nice surprise.

I've never been big into Extreme outside their big hits but plan on checking out the new album.

Diggin' Banshee a bit more than Rebel,agree that Rise is better and with Auslander that this is indeed shaping up to be comeback album of the year ,its the first time I've has an interest in Extreme since probably III sides and that was a fleeting interest at best after seeing the on the Pornograffitti tour.

#Rebel is a good tune, I find it somewhat distracting on Banshee that the verses sound so much like Girls, Girls, Girls.
