As Doggy implied, if they can maintain this quality for an entire album, that would be great. Real cool cover.

Had to google it - apparently a Triumph song. Not sure I ever heard it, but yes, it's a cool cover indeed. More of this quality would be appreciated.

How many of these dudes played on the debut, out of curiosity?

Gil Moore walking into the studio at the start was all I needed to know that it was a Triumph cover.

I'm jealous of your ability to recognise that. I wish I was alive when these guys were in their prime.

What I'm saying is, you're old.

There is new drummer and a guitarist as original line up had past away.

They have had a lot of drummers over years .

Ive been a Triumph fan since 76. Favorite Canadian band then BTO & Rush. Ive never heard Sven Gali before, but this is a pretty awesome cover.  :headbanger:

First album was very Sleazy. Second album was Grunge. The recent EP was Modern.

Its another sound of the debut that we would crave most...if they add a tad of modern ok...but please not to much...hopefully lesson learned from going grunge on the Inwire disc?

Yeah heard that 'Monster' song a few weeks ago and I really liked it too. Very keen to hear an album full of this quality.

Good god that was painful to listen to. Fucking awful. Does not sound anything like Sven Gali

Agreed...guess we'll have to stick to the self titled :drink:

Was spinning their debut on Friday and just going through their videos now for a kick and thought I'd post them for fun in case someone shares my curiosity;

And for what it's worth - I can't even remember this song, long, but I assume it's off 'Inwire';

I never realised they had so many singles (deserved) from that debut album. All the killer cuts too. I notice on wikipedia there is allegedly a video of 'Whisper in the rain' from 1990. I actually think that's a bit of a bland tune, but I'd be curious to see the video, mostly because it's from 1990. But I couldn't find that one on the Tubes.

    • Well, the first two "Giant" albums are quintessential, as is the "Hardline" debut. Akdo Nova's "Blood on the Bricks" is one of my all time favourites, Lizzy Borden is awesome as is the Mark/Marcie Free fronted "King Kobra".
    • So some may remember that Tyketto toured recently and aside from Forever Young, I never delved into this band. So I did, so I'd know the songs in concert and was blown away. A great band with an awesome catalog that I had missed out on. To be fair, in the 80's it was a lot harder to access and find out about a lot of the more fringe bands, that's my excuse anyway. So I now am faced with digging deeper into some other bands I've overlooked. Some of these I gave a go, and wasn't really impressed, but now I'm starting fresh with an open mind. So below is a list of bands I have eitehr never bothered with, or never really gave a proper go. Lizzy Borden is on the list and I have done a bit of their stuff and like it a lot, so I will definately dig deeper into them (I've got some older stuff and some newer stuff, but have skipped quite a few albums) But the others, fire away, tell me which bands have killer material that I'll froth and how stppid I've been to skip them. • New song 'Chase The Sun'.
    • Super Sabre - Sugar and Spice *This is actually a full album, “Chasing the Rabbit”, with a complete band backstory included in the YT description. “Sugar and Spice” is the opening track…

    • I like the album art. I love when contemporary Glam Metal bands have album art with a genuine 80s vibe to it.
    • Nope, for a while, I used to think Rapunzel from Tangled (2010) was hot... But then I stopped being attracted to cartoon characters.
    • This is definitely the first time I've heard about it, I'll have to give it a listen!
