Not sure how long this will be up, but this song is a monster IMO:

Speaking of YouTube, no less than 3 different posters have uploaded the complete album in its entirety to YT. Not sure how record labels are going to handle this. It's torrenting, but out in the open.

A song Hinder can consider of doing a cover. Excellent song.

You guys are missing out if this is the first you've dug them.

That said, this is a killer disc, and leans more to the AOR side of rock than the matal side.

Probably be my top album of the year

Have to agree....Absolutely killer album!  I've been through it a handful of times now and I swear the more I listen, the more I like it.

I don't know if it'll be my top album but it's definitely right there among my favorites this year.

Have picked up their last album too and will be checking that out closer once I can get the new one out of my CD player :)

Not sure how these guys slipped under my radar.  Good stuff.

Yeah, I'm lovin' it!I've ordered the vinyl (+recent reissue of Gibraltar's ep with Roy Cathey, still one of my biggest vinyl wants).  Their strong gang choruses remind me Hell In The Club (but with way better vocals!).

I'd have to disagree. Probably many of us have been keeping an eye on them through the years and I know for me they've always been pretty well below average. I like some very strong songs on here, but as an overall album I still wouldn't say they've entered a new realm of excellence. It's their best album no doubt, though.

I disagree. Like a handful of songs from them over 4? albums, but for me this is a great album and has brought them up a notch for sure.

Interesting how music is heard differently.

I put 9 songs from this album in my best of folder.

Waging War wasn't one of them :)

Yes everyone likes something different, but I still have to say it  WOW, really?!

Yep :)

Happens from time to time.
Example, Kiss...
Took me 20 years to start to like God Of Thunder.
Still not a real fan of Creatures Of The Night, and I've always dug The Elder

God of Thunder is pretty shit tho. Works well live cos they make it theatrical but as an album cut it's weak.

'Waging war' is a good tune - second best on the album after 'Still Around,' imo. Those two songs are the clear stand outs on the disc.

That is a wicked uncomfortable clip.

I think the song is okay but I'm not as taken by it as you kids. ;)

Have to agree about the clip, it's disturbing to see his face all the time. I would have done it like a video-story, for example starting with the singer looking old photos of a smiling girl, then showing the singer and the girl together falling in love like flashbacks of their happy relationship, but at the middle of the song the girl begins to act bad, trying drugs and doing things to hurt him; finally he leaves her in the rain while the song ends. Something like that I think would have been more adequate.

Love the song, though.

Same for me.

Okay song but if I'm listing my favorites from the album, this would be toward the bottom.

They should've done Waging War.

Great album though!

    • Really like that, hope there's a new album in the works
    • Don't believe they fell out , he just joined The Sweet I think and with their blessing? Think doing it on Diamonds would have sufficed...end that chapter of the band and onto the next.
    • but then again I didn't really have high hopes on it...hopes yes...but not high if I'm honest.
    • Video for 'Change The World'.
    • Be interested to hear this...after all of this time.
    • New album 'Another World' out June 21. Press release: Atlantic was the brainchild of guitarist and songwriter Simon Harrison. Following a successful ghost-writing career and his bands Stranger and Wisht, Simon wanted to make an album in his favoured AOR/Melodic Rock genre. Heavily influenced by bands like Whitesnake, Journey, Bad English, FM and Dare he set about writing the songs that became the first album entitled ‘Power’. Atlantic was never supposed to be a long term band and following its worldwide release Simon moved on to other writing, recording, production and mix projects. In the late nineties Simon met Mark Grimmett. He recorded several songs with Mark over the following few years and they decided at some point they would make a record together. Fast forward to 2021 Mark was talking to Simon about writing and recording a new album. Originally entitled the MGB Band, work started in the fall of 2021 … By early 2022 they had written a number of songs and they both felt they would best suit a new album under the Atlantic banner. Several members of Grim Reaper were recruited to give the Album an edge, whilst retaining the essential melodic rock/Aor feel that is Atlantic. Mark Pullin, Julian D.Hill and Ian Nash were duly recruited into the band along with keyboardist Gareth David Noon from Serpentine .. The lineup was to change later in the project with Simon and Tim Bristow taking over the keyboard role and the addition of Nick Burr and Andy Margrett on lead guitar. Work continued over the next year and finally the production was completed in late 2023. Mark Pullin stepped up to mix the album after some unforeseen issues at Simon’s studio and it was completed in March 2024. Escape Music had re released the original Power album and were absolutely the first choice to work with on the new album. Their new album “Another World” will be released exclusively by Escape Music, exciting times. The band is: Simon Harrison – Guitars, Bass & Keyboards Mark Grimmett – Lead Vocals Mark Pullin – Drums, Backing Vocals Nick Burr – Lead Guitar Julian D.Hill – Bass Tim Bristow – Keyboards Gareth David Noon – Additional Keyboards / Andy Margrett – Additional Lead Guitar / Mark Pullin – Additional Lead Guitar All songs written by Simon Jewell-Harrison & Mark Grimmett Except * Co-Written by Tim Bristow. • Not a fan of Staind, but this song popped up in my YouTube feed and the lyrics just hit me right in the heart this morning.    Beautiful ballad in my opinion…
    • It's ok but at the same time not doing much for me.  To me this sounds like this could've been a modern Bon Jovi song.  If you're basically making music that sounds like Bon Jovi, why not just go back to Bon Jovi lol. As it is, Richie's solo stuff has never really grabbed me and don't see myself returning to this. Do plan to check out the Bon Jovi documentary on Hulu this weekend though
    • That chorus is much more melodic than I was expecting; not bad.
