There's honesty.It's very much as advertised. I quite like it. Really hadn't expected much but there are some good songs in here.

The song is fine, the 3:05 mark is a lame cop out and they should have just put in a guitar solo. Otherwise the modern elements work and is reminiscent of Portland's Slowrush from 15 years ago. Agreed the Na Na's are a bit sharp on teh ears and could have been improved.

 

As mentioned Janet is always FAP worthy but the drummer too is worth a second glance...

And lastly they should have let the keyboard player be in the video. I mean the audience isn't daft and should know that those four aren't playing anything that makes those drop beats and such.

Heard this album, and did not like. At all. 'Lost' is an okay song, but the best and only half decent thing on there. The ballad, 'Best friend' exposes the fact that her vocals aren't quite what they once were... naturally.

I saw Vixen during the summer of 1989 here in Portland, Oregon (Portland Rose Festival) and Janet was hot as hell. Man those really were THE days!

In case any fans of Janet hadn't already read elsewhere, this was posted on her FB page a few days ago:

"I wanted to take a moment, and catch everyone up on the last few, very eventful days...Unfortunately, on Friday, things turned a little upside down on us. I was rushed off to the hospital, and had to have emergency surgery to remove a subdural hematoma that was putting pressure on my brain. They had to drill a hole into my head to remove the hematoma and put a titanium plate in to cover the hole...I apologize for having to cancel the Vamp’d show last night. We will be rescheduling that soon. I will keep you posted on my recovery.  Thank you for all the love and support!"
