Love this guy as well, can't wait!

BTW, so he will go under the new name Chris Laney's Legion now and not Chris Laney again ?

From what he said on Facebook yes. I think he wants to tour much more with the new record than with his previous ones, so that's more kinda like a band now. John Berg (Ex-Dynazty) is his guitarist.

I loved his first album and the second one was only so-so for me, but the snippits of the new one sound VERY promising....

That clip cuts out just as it gets exciting, but it sounds awesome anyway. So what's this? Is this where his solo career left off? Either way, dude needs to release some new tunes asap! Been a long while since his last solo disc.

Just listened to this on Spotify - great stuff. Glad to report that its far more hard hitting than the annoying poptastic with some very nice hooks and smoking solos.

If anything the second half is better than the first with 'Assassin Of Our Love' and 'No One Can Stop Us' being early favs. 'Hollow' and 'Bleed Within' were also pretty cool.

All the songs are short and snappy which I like. Production sounds ok as u would expect. Never been a huge fan of Laneys vocals but he sounds alright too.

Good job.

Heard this one and gotta say it sounds pretty awesome to me. 'Assassin of our love' immediately stood out, but overall, really good stuff. Should rate pretty high for me this year...

Is it me or does this sound a bit rough? I thought Chris Laney was supposed to be God when it came to production? A lot better sounding discs so far this year to my ears.

I'd agree with that - not quite as polished as you'd normally expect from him. That said, it's not like it sounds poor.

No not poor but I think the disc would benefit from a big polished sound. Hey ho. Maybe funds were tight??
