Awesome stuff!!!! 'Air It Out' is especially good. You can certainly hear a Def Leppard influence in these songs. If they can make an album of songs this good I'm sure they'll do well. I'd definately be interested in hearing more. Nice find!!

Holy shit, amazing. Now, enough of talking about Wild Child's outfit (one of their myspace friends) and onto the music. Not bad at all. The dude won't be vocalist of the year (he sounds a little like Rob Moratti from Final Frontier) but the two songs on myspace are excellent. Especially 'Love sensation'. Very interested in this one.

Not bad at all...but I wouldn't call it "amazing"...

Maybe not, but based on first impressions it's damn close. As I said in the first spins thread, this is essential for any fan of Def Leppard or Heavy Pettin' and imo it's better than Wildstreet. Every song on it is great, without even a sniff of a filler. I love nothing better than a wonderful surprise like this.

Got this in the mail yesterday and gave it a full spin last night. Very nice melodic hard rock aiming for that Def Leppard type sound. Definitely in the vein of Wildstreet like Geoff said. Sure, they faltered on a couple songs but there's plenty of cool anthems to make up for it. Don't let the lame album cover fool you folks. If you like the verse, big bridge, and even bigger chorus (and who doesn't), this band will more than fit the bill. And I love the spelling of the track 'Sheik Iddup'. Classic.

Wheres the best place to buy this? Anyone seen any good deals?

I picked up my copy from NEH records. That's usually where I buy my new releases from. I believe it was $16.99.

Not bad. It has that Def Leppard "Hysteria"-era feel to it, especially the drums and chorus....

I finally got around to listening to this the other day... Fantastic production, great guitarwork, awesome choruses, steller songwriting and everything else you could want from a melodic rock band, EXCEPT... The vocalist sounds like he's singing with a clothespin on his nose. I've listened to this 3 times through now and the vocalist still bugs me to no end ;) I'd still give it a solid 90 out of 100.

Got my copy of Grand Design in the mail yesterday (courtesy of Wishing Well Online  ) and have thoroughly enjoyed it. The comparisons to Def Leppard are spot on, and even though the vocals are likely an acquired taste for most, I found that by the third listen or so, they had grown on me. :guitbannana:

    • It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.
    • Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.
