I'm looking forward to seeing Billy Squier live this summer.. I heard he is touring..I just hope maybe it's Billy the rocker this time instead of Billy & the blues..Last time i saw him was in Toronto a few years back with Styx and Bad Company and i was disappointed. His web site says he will do songs from his full catalog:

from the Piper releases to present.

A couple of shows i went to last year were:

The Bad Co reunion in Florida

Grand Funk, War, The Sweet in Michigan.. I was determined to see The Sweet. even though Steve Priest is the only original member (2 are deceased), they rocked!! didn't get to see much of Grand Funk though..

Romantics, Loverboy, Eddie Money in Atlantic City.. thought Eddie was a little off on this one..

Loverboy (didn't play long enough) and Romantics didn't disappoint though..

Some

I'd really like to see: that i've never seen

Alias (reunion tour)

Haywire (infrequent shows in the Nova Scotia area)

Head East (probably won't make it to SD though..)

I did go to Vancouver (by the way, I live in MD) a few years ago to see:

Harlequin

Headpins

Prism

Kenny Shields & Streetheart

Great show! Only problem was because of a curfew, Streetheart only got to play a couple of songs...

Damn you Nick.... Adam Bomb again. Well, maybe someday I'll get to see him. Until then I have this autographed Adam Bomb CD that will just have to do.

Within the next 4 weeks I have Alcatrazz (w/G. Bonnett) and Seven Witches, a couple of KIX shows, and I may even go see Adler's Appetite. Then in July there is Rocklahoma.

PS ~ Hope you enjoyed the Adam Bomb show. :drink:

Hey bud...yeah it was good, but there wasn't much of a crowd .... probably down to him playing there so often and also Tuesday night may not be the best night to drag punters out!

But he put on a good show as always and the band are as tight as a gnats chuff! He sure can play guitar.

He's on again in Manchester centre at the Rockbox in a few weeks but I'm working I think....I reckon he'll get a better crowd there!

Strangely enough the landlord of the pub is a guy called John Brent....I used to know him years ago when he was a rock DJ in the area...I was wondering what had happened to him so I had a good chat with him. I didn't recognise him at first, well it's been about 20 years since I last saw him plus his hair is dark now and it used to be blonde so it threw me haha!

It also surprised me the bands that are coming on there for such a small place...up coming gigs are Dan Reed, Demon and Marseille....might HAVE to go to the Marseille gig!

I'd of liked to have gone to Dan Reed, saw him three times during his Dan Reed Network Days.

Off to see Oli Brown next month, followed by The Hampsters.

Well, I (or should I say my wallet) hope I've seen the last show for quite a while. Seen some awesome modern rock bands, which should hopefully see me through the year. Of course I'll see any random 80's hard rock band that might come out here for whatever reason, but nothing on the schedule for a while now. :)

You sick bastards (not just you, Glen, seen a few of your types - lol). I don't understand how you freaks say I "might" see HEAT! Seems these bands are being under-appreciated and should come over here to Australia where at least they know I'd appreciate them. :)

I have a couple (literally) but I'm too young to know anyone into "hair metal" and too old to know anyone into modern rock. Either way, I honestly like going by myself. I'm only there to enjoy the music anyway - not there to chat. I couldn't give a lesser f*ck in the world if I'm there by myself.

Poser. :P A man of your vintage should surely know by now that it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of you. ;)

Dokken, Ratt, Kix just to name a few..Right in my backyard! (30 min. drive).

Guess I'll have to skip Firefest and hit this one! Although the bands in Firefest will probably never play in the U.S. :banger:

Fire In The Rodeo   Fire In The Rodeo is: Aviroop Basu (Demonskreamer): Vocals Suvojeet Das (FlamexXx): Guitars Shambo Roychoudhury (PoisonX): Guitars Dhritiman Som (Weirdodo): Drums Nilavro Ghosh (Rony): Bass   Hailing from the culturally rich city of Kolkata, India, Fire In The Rodeo stands as a beacon of contemporary Heavy Rock, Glam Metal, and Melodic Rock fusion. Established in 2022 by the visionary frontman Aviroop Basu, the band's inception signaled the emergence of a musical force destined to captivate audiences worldwide. In December 2022, Fire In The Rodeo unveiled their maiden opus, the demo single "Back for More." This inaugural offering showcased their mastery over their chosen genres and provided a tantalizing glimpse into their musical prowess. Building upon the fervor ignited by their debut, the band resounded once again in July 2023 with their second single, "Ready To Fight." With this release, they cemented their status as a rising musical powerhouse, earning fervent accolades from aficionados and critics alike.   Fire In The Rodeo's artistic genesis draws inspiration from the illustrious lineage of Kix, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Ratt, Motley Crue, among other luminaries. Such influences seamlessly intertwine within their compositions, resulting in a harmonious synthesis of sonic excellence. A defining hallmark of their artistry lies in their reverence for the 80s era of rock 'n' roll—a golden age that continues to resonate deeply within their musical ethos. By infusing modern nuances into this revered soundscape, Fire In The Rodeo conjures a distinctive auditory experience that marries the classic with the contemporary.   Their sonic tapestry is woven with roaring anthemic guitars, percussive rhythms that reverberate through the soul, and guitar riffs that scorch with undeniable intensity. Aviroop Basu's vocals ascend to extraordinary heights, delivering a high-octane performance that transcends musical boundaries. The band's chorus lines, irresistibly catchy and persistently memorable, have an uncanny ability to embed themselves within the listener's consciousness—a testament to the compositional brilliance they wield.   Amidst their meteoric ascent, Fire In The Rodeo solidified their trajectory by signing a landmark worldwide deal with the esteemed record label Lions Pride Music in 2023. This milestone paves the way for the much-anticipated release of their debut album in February 2025—an event that promises to redefine the contemporary rock landscape. As the journey of Fire In The Rodeo unfolds, their music serves as a tribute to an era bygone, a testament to the evolution of sound, and a testimony to the enduring allure of rock 'n' roll.

    • I just stumbled across this power trio.... not too bad at all. The vocalist reminds me of a cross between Lex Koritni and Chris Cornell in some tunes. Nice production and good sound. • Fantastic band. Their last album 2021's  'Witness' was an absolute killer. Hope a new one is on the way.

    • I got this as part of their career spanning box set a few months ago and it really is a great album. At present, sittiing very highly in my top releases of the year so far. Top quality stuff
