Went shopping with my wife the other day(as she got her tax return) and managed to convince her to pick up a couple of cds for me(really it was pathetic begging like a little kid in a toy store,i have no shame)and later that night she also bought a couple of cds off Ebay for me.So glad that mind ray i bought off Ebay works. :P

Good work. I have more chance of persuading my wife to give me oral sex every night for the rest of my life than of buying me a CD! ;)

I may invest in 2 or 3 CDs when I've sold my latest batch on eBay, but that will be it for the year. As long as she doesn't see '2011' on the rear cover when I've smuggled in the Toby Hitchcock CD, my gonads should be safe for a while...

Now you have hit a raw nerve with the oral sex my brother, don't get me started on that issue. ;)

What she doesn't know, is the c.d. waiting for me in our mailbox. I'm waiting for her to go to bed, before I take a little walk  .

Yes, It could be that one unannounced purchase, that might send her over the edge..

Heh, heh! Have I expressed how much I love this thread? Just brilliant.

You forgot Pathetic..

No, I told you guys you were pathetic in an earlier post.

If pathetic works i'm still rollin' with it and you should know by now i have no shame when it comes to getting cds.

Likewise. I used to have quite a nice little smuggling operation going from 3 different addresses, via my rucksack. No shame, pathetic all the way!

Told that joke at a wedding one time, all I heard was crickets. I got ripped after that so at least something good happened.

OK, been buying so much music of late that I really began to wonder if my wife was going to protest, either verbal (jabs) or non-verbal (attitude). As luck would have it, I intercepted a large shipment a couple of days so all is cool for now.

Typically she does not say anything about it, never has. But she's been trapped in the house with our 2 year old & 3 week old daughters and I know fraustration is setting in.

redirecting all your shipment to office's address usually solve this problem.

The question next is can you manage to smuggle all the package you received to your home and arrange them to your cd rack without being spotted ?

lol this is like a ninja situation :D

She's was able to get out of the house this weekend and will be going back to work soon, so all is good now! :headbanger:

A couple of weeks ago, the CD Nazi put christmas lights up in my man-cave. She also pointed out that my collection looks like it's growing  .

I gotta find her a hobby

I bought a cd from amazon last week. Thinking I was going to get it from the p.o. box, the mailman left it outside my door, so the nazi bought it inside. I almost shit my pants when she said "A package came for you" :yikes:

I must be slipping in my old age.. :aw:

Ordered a few CDs recently and got them posted to work (suggested by a colleague who gets personal items sent to the office). No way the Fearsome One can find out about that, is there? Great, but after the first couple of CDs turned up, the others appear to have gone missing. Arse. Back to using friends and family...

On the 'plus' side, at least said friends can test the CDs to make sure they work properly

That said, you start ordering stuff by The Darkness and you're on your own, mate ...

That said, I'm not sure you're allowed on this thread; your wife's too good-natured. ;)

This Suxx!!!

The Warden went to New Orleans for a few days. I ordered a bunch of c.d.s on CD Baby, before she left. I was hoping they would get here, while she was away. She gets home Thursday night and I just looked at the time my shipment is supposed to arrive.

UPS on Friday.. :yikes:

I must intercept the Man in Brown.. :(

When I was made redundant, I thought I would treat myself to some cd`s with my pay off, ordered quite a few but still had my wife moaning at me, had to order subsequent cd`s for delivery at my dads house so she was none the wiser.

    • Added Framing the Red over on the main site recently: Framing the Red discography reference list of music CDs. Heavy Harmonies Their website: Framing The Red Their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/framingtheredband Their YouTube channel: (23) Framing the Red Official Page - YouTube They have four releases, and all are quite good in my opinion. If I had to describe them, I'd say this is what Gunshine would sound like if they went in a more southern rock direction.  Here are some of my favorite tracks... Crossroads   Whiskey & Weed   Holy Water   Mississippi Hippie   Heroes   Bonnie & Clyde   Rockin' Into the Night (38 Special cover)   "Crossroads" and "Heroes" are probably my two faves.  *I will give a word of warning:  if you decide to purchase any of their discs, they are barebones releases with just the CD in a cardboard slipcase. I enjoy the music enough that that's not an issue for me though.  @lettard @KarpetRydOFunk @tts42572 @AlphaMale @Dead Planet @Mr.AOR @tobi is an animal I think all of you gentlemen should give these guys a listen and see what you think.
    • H.E.A.T - 1000 Miles Vega - Hands In The Air The Defiants - Stay Issa - River of Love I'm at work right now so that's all I know off the top of my head but I'll look through my library for more when I get a chance.
    • Maybe anything by the Darkness
    • Wig wam - hard to be a rock n roller
    • Saw these guys first time a couple of years ago, when they were 16-17 years old, they are absolutely awesome. They have been touring for a few years now, performing their own songs, yet haven't released anything, until now. I have tickets to see them this saturday, opening for Mercenary. First single and video:
    • I want to compile quite an extensive playlist of hard rock songs that has a key change in the end. Why? Cause I think it sounds awesome Some well known exambles are: Bon Jovi - Living On a Prayer Wig Wam - In My Dreams Danger Danger - Don't Blame it on Love H.E.A.T - Beg Beg Beg
    • My Japan copy showed up today. I was critical of the Part I album as that one just did very little for me.  Basically, I just didn't think the songs were all that catchy and/or memorable.  I played that album a handful of times trying to get into it and gave up rather quickly which was disappointing as I loved Wired.  Maybe I just had too high of expectations or something.  I know many liked that album but for me at least, that Megalomanium I album would be ranked toward the bottom of their discography. Well, after hearing this new one, I'm feeling the opposite....Here I feel like they nailed it and I'm digging this one after the first listen.  I basically couldn't wait to start it over and listen again. The first 5 songs just come out guns a blazing with catchy, hook filled songs.  Yeah, we've heard 4 of those songs as singles but I almost purposely haven't listened to those songs much so they'd still sound fresh when the album dropped.  Then the one song we hadn't heard, All I Want, is just another upbeat, catchy tune. The 2nd half though is where things probably get more interesting.  Songs like Dive Into You and To Say Goodbye are the kinds of varied balladish/mid-tempo type songs I've been wanting Eclipse to mix things up with and there's 2 of those songs here, both very well done IMO.  Then there's a couple heavier tunes like Divide & Conquer and One In A Million that sound like stuff that could've been on Bleed & Scream.  And then a couple other melodic rockers with Until the War is Over and Pieces. I also feel like this has some of the better lyrics that Eclipse has had in awhile.  I think a lot of their material recently has been just been sort of lighter subject matter, 3 minute "simplistic" romps.  I felt Part I had a lot of that which kind of contributed to it being less interesting.  Here though, it seems like some of these songs get a bit deeper and can feel more emotion in songs like Still My Hero, Dive Into You and To Say Goodbye for example.   Anyways, where Part I is among my least favorite Eclipse albums, I'd say my early impression of Part II is that it'll be among my favorite Eclipse albums.
    • New song 'Unbreakable'.
    • Solid hard rock album. Nothing really stood out to me, but it’s solid.
