picked up W.A.S.P. - Inside The Electric Circus/The Headless Children double disc set. I only wanted Headless Children but they didn't have it in stock and against my better judgement I bought it. It's put out by Sanctuary and I'm a little disappointed with it. First off the sound on the discs are awful. I don't know what they did to transfer it from the original recordings but it's pretty muddy. Secondly I was expecting a nice history in the Liner notes about the two albums and some artwork or pics. There are no pics and I think the notes were written by a 12 year old. Very uninformative and boring. And the word "whilst" keeps appearing. whilst?? Oh well it has all the bonus tracks and everything so I probably shouldn't complain...but whilst?

Also got the XYZ s/t reissue. Wow--those guys at Axe Killer really know what they are doing! Wonderful sound - 5 stars!

I spent my hard earn money on the new cd by Johnny Lima, and excellant debut by Danny Danzi.

I agree with you, Blue, the re issues of the W.A.S.P cds are very muggy sounding.

The good point of re issuses, you can get your hands of extra tracks that were on singles.

Very true--the extra songs included are great so it does take away a lot of the initial sting over the sound and packaging.

Whiplash, It's going to be great getting those. Actually she got ahold of my wish list and ordered between 40 and 50 off it. They have been coming in over the past few weeks but can't touch them. It's been torture! I only know what she got so I wouldn't go out and get them. I am looking forward to the the one he did with JK Northrup also and I did see they had a new one coming out witch I'll be sure to grab.

Oh the wait. Glad I took off work Thursday and Friday for a four day weekend. Going to listen to alot of music.

    • Don't think I've checked those out.  Will give it a look!
    • Still sounds like a nighmare to implement and must slow the flow of people getting into and out of the venue. The venue I am seeing them at has a 20,000 capacity.
    • It's put in a thing called a Yondr pouch which apparently you keep on you, and it magnetically locks when you enter the no phone area. If you need to use it you go to a phone access area and tap on an unlock thingee. https://www.overyondr.com/phone-locking-pouch

    • "A classic cover song" sounds, to me, like a song that's already been covered to death.
