I absolutey loved the debut, but hated one song on it "Golden Troops" which stuck out like a sore thumb as not belonging on the album due to the harsh vocals. I remember hearing somewhere that was what the band used to be like under a different name. Was really looking forward to this one but could not buy it straight away. Picked it up last week and so far has not really hooked me in the same way as the previous album, but may be a grower as there is some fantastic music on it. That said there are three songs on it that are making it difficult to make a full judgement on it. Endure, Legion and Beautiful misery. Once again, like Golden troops, it's harsh vocals that are out of place with the rest of the album. With the debut it was one song near the end of the album. With this album its two tracks at the start and one at the end so really breaks up the flow. No idea why you would do a melodic album and throw in songs like these. Surely it would be better to have two band projects, one for the melodic side and one for the almost metalcore side. -
