Waiting for a few more I've ordered:

Donnie Vie-Just enough

Attraction 65-S/T

Waysted-Save your prayers

Thor-Beastwomen.

Now as I've got a bike again I thought as its a nice sunny day I'd take a trip to Beanos which is one of the (if not THE) biggest second hand CD/record shop in the UK,as I aint been there for a few years!

Now last time I went there the selection of hair metal/glam/aor type stuff was minimal & quite cheap, but now there was loads of stuff to chose from & a lot of it was the price of a new CD at somewhere like HMV.

There was loads of stuff I was surprised to see,but I'd already got,a load of stuff I'd like but was a bit pricey and finally some of the cheaper items that I ended up buying.

Oh,and they not only have a glam/aor section, they now have a hair metal section as well, which is strange as they are pretty much the same thing!

This is what I bought:

Babylon AD-S/T

Faster Pussycat-Between the valley of the ultra pussy

Kix-Show business

McQueen Street-S/T

Meldrum-Loaded mental cannon

Ted Nugent-Intensities in ten cities

Pink Cream 69-Electrified

Raging Slab-Dynamite monster boogie concert

Sweet F.A.-Tempation

38 Special-Bone against steel

TNT-Realized fanasies

Treat-Organized crime

Von Groove-Chameleon

Voodoo Hill-S/T

Westworld-Skin

This little lot came to £113 but they knocked it down to £100 so I essentially got the Meldrum CD & the Voodoo Hill free!

WOW! I wish there was a Beanos in NE Ohio. That's some good stuff you picked up. BTW Captain, how's the bike? And more crucial, have you picked up any chicks with it yet? :P

Bike is fantastic, had it up to 140mph a little while back, which was fun but highly illegal!

No chicks as yet,but I'm sure there will be when I get some decent time off to really go out & about on it!

Back to Beanos,I am amazed by some of the stuff they had in there today.

Danny Danzi,Southgang,Spread Eagle,Firehouse,Harem Scarem,Kingofthehill,Trixter,Ratt,Slam St Joan,Mitch Malloy,Billy Falcon,Baton Rouge,Loud & Clear,Shy & loads more that you dont expect to see in a British shop!

Only sad thing was they couldnt find one of the CDs I took to the counter, the Jess Harnell solo album!

Hey relivinthe80's,

I hope you enjoy it more than I did, as my copy collected dust for years until a kind eBayer paid me hardly anything to take it off my hands... :crying: My recent purchases have been (pretty much in the order in which I like them...):

Nightwish "Once"

Grand Illusion "Ordinary Just Won't Do"

Stan Bush "Shine"

Richard Marx "My Own Best Enemy"

Threshold "Subsurface"

Paul Janz "High Strung"

SR-71 "Here We Go Again"

From the Inside S/T

Frontline "7th Sign"

Glen Burtnick "Welcome to Hollywood" (AARRGGGH!)

Have got the new Magnum and TSG on order for this week....

Hey TIM (2), is that Glen Burtnick- Welcome... really that bad? I was tempted to get it. I also heard Stan Bush in one of Stallone's movies (Lockup I think?), and have meant to get some of his (Bush's) material. Sly always used good artists in his films. By the way -cool name. :drink: ...Tim

A little off genre but today I picked up The Beach Boys - Pet Sounds 2001 reissue that contains both the original mono album and remastered stereo album. I finally know why this album is considered one of the greatest ever. B)

Hey TIM,

The Glen Burtnick is a real disappointment for me. It sounds very modern (will try not to sound like Freaky Freddy here) and although I like nu-breed when it's done well -SR-71/Marvelous 3, etc- the standard of songwriting just isn't that strong. There's a great AOR track ("Cry") but otherwise the best track is his re-make of "Kiss Your Ass Goodbye" which was nothing more than a filler on the last Styx album.

I really like Stan Bush but his solo albums have always suffered in production quality. Actually his latest ("Shine") is as good as any, but most of his albums just sound pretty flat. Get the "Stan Bush & Barrage" album from 1987 or his latest, and although his others will be dirt cheap on eBay you tend to get what you pay for...

Keep rockin' :drink:
