For me the hardest ones I have been trying to find are...

Dead End-Ghost Of Romance

Dead End-Shambara

Oz-Fire in the Brain

Celtic Frost-Cold Lake

Pat Travers Black Pearl....All These I haven't been able to find

or find for a reasonable amount...

Two CD's that ALWAYS seem to allude me are

Giraffe - The View From Here

and

Giraffe - The Power of Suggestion

I've never seen View from Here up for sale and everytime Powr of Suggestion comes up it goes for silly money.

No this isn't the same guy. He even did an introduction when he joined I believe.

Frogstomp joined up around the same time Keith did, but has been awful silent for a long time.

Thomas, who was the guitarist of Coastline, is a member of this fine site. Maybe if you give a PM, and see if he got any spare copy of his cd. I think the record company that Coastline was sign to has gonna belly up.

Just wondering what the rarest of the rare are that none can seem to find and that everyone wants.

Not sure about the 'everyone wants' part, but these 3 CDs have eluded me for quite some time and appear to be harder to find than a pork-chop at a Muslim convention:

ROMEOS TEARZ: "After Dark"

PARADISE: "Prime Cut"

KIDD SKRUFF: "Angels With Dirty Faces"

Almost had the Romeos Tearz once, then the seller got a better offer and bolted without so much as a 'fare thee well.' :thppt: The Paradise I've only seen once, on eBay, and it went for a small fortune that probably could've cleared up the gross national debt of some third world country. I know Jim (Patton) has the Kidd Skruff, but he's the only one I'm aware of, and extensive searching on my part has yielded exactly zilch. So, yeah, those be some elusive mothers...

I found one today at a used cd shop that I had been looking for, for the last 3-4 years, FUNHOUSE/Hazardous to Your Health on Wolfe Records. Wolfe Records was owned by the owner of the legendary Galaxy Nightclub in Sommerdale, NJ the studio was upstairs. I have most of the vinyl releases, but the cds are harder to come by since they were released in the late 80's in small numbers, I'm trying to collect the full catalog from Wolfe Records, so if anyone has any lps tapes cd's on Wolfe let me know. thanks..

I don't think Britny Fox In America was released on cd by Wolfe, I have the cassette and lp, I know there was one release by a female singer, and also a compilation cd of Galaxy bands on cd from Wolfe, I have Tangier on lp, not sure of any others

A few CDs that I don't know a lot of people getting their hands on are:

Harem Scarem - DEMO (not many outside of the band with an original, maybe 1 or 2 if that)

KK - Cocaine Cowboy

Rock Boulevard - s/t

D.V.S. - Survival

Laurence Archer - LA

Friction - Baby Talk

Hard Knox - Psycho's R Us

Theatre - Sexy Lady

To name a few, heck even an original Surrender - s/t.

Yeah, that's a good list of elusive originals. I just had the Laurence Archer - LA (with OBI), but, won't get into what it went for- let's just say records were broken, lol. Ironically, being it was only released in Japan in 1986 on the small NEC label, the disc went "back" to a Japanese collector.

The KK Wilde, is certainly up there as well.

I'd have to add the original 1984 promo-only release by female fronted rockers Widow. The disc was released only in Japan by CBS/Sony records, as a promo-only (without a front insert... only featured the tray card- with band info/tracklisting, etc) and a disc). I've had it on two occasions, last time, about 5 yrs ago or so. From my experience, that's appeared to have been one of the most elusive CDs in the hard rock/AOR/metal genre to obtain over the years.

There are countless CDs out there which were pressed in very limited quantities originally (100 copies... 200 copies... or 50 copies, as was the case with the original Harem Scarem demo... a side note about that one, if anyone own the "Early years" import from Japan, there's a story about that one, involving Harry, and Kissmydisc, directly in making that one happen, even though it isn't a very pleasant story for KMD, lol).

But, to add to the list, I'd have to say... the toughest, most coveted originals out there would include:

Harem Scarem - Original demo CD

Widow - Original 1984 promo only debut CD

Laurence Archer - LA

Klaatu - Strange (1991, indie from Eastern Europe, identical to Syndia I'm told, I've never been able to find one)

Original CDs by bands like Hit the ground runnin' (sudden impact), Barely Legal, etc, etc... and many others only continue to become more scarce every year.

These lists are good, and fun... but, there's always the risk of lists like this serving as nothing more than a "to-do" list for bootleggers, hence it's better to reserve the most obvious top guns to the collectors who know what they are, and leave the pirates where they belong... in the rear view mirror. ;)

Season's Greetings to all!

    • I LOVE the callback to the debut in that artwork. Beautiful!
    • Glamfest is done. Couldn't make it financially viable. But their Facebook page promoted the potential tyketto tour. Not sure if they are handling the tour or just doing a nice thing. Time will tell. Didn't know The Used had been out before, missed that in the past. Hopefully I'll be around when they come out and can catch them.maybe they will support tyketto?
    • Is Glamfest meant to happen again? I’m assuming probably definitely not… well at least not same time as it was last couple of years. That’s a shame.    The Used used to come out all the time for stuff like Soundwave and Warped tour and stuff, if I recall correctly. Haven’t seen them for several years now, and they haven’t put out much music in that time either. Couple of good cuts on their latest album, though.
    • Tyketto returning to Australia. Also The Used coming out here. Both tours teased but not announced yet.
    • I watched the videos today... I dunno what to make of it. On one hand I don't think it's worth all the fuss, but I guess it gets a bit awkward due to the fact he is an actual vocal coach. Not a great look but I guess this is what happens these days. Just maybe not quite as common amongst vocal coaches, though...
    • I might try V4 again when I get credits again, but like I said above, also a bit keen to finish all the V3.5 stuff with V3.5. In saying that, though, I would be sad if V4 got good while I wasn't watching and did myself a disservice.  100% with you on that remaster wish. If they could accomplish that it would be dreamy. I still have so, so many results that are really cool, but I'm so down on the audio quality that I don't know what to do with them. Continually trying to cover them doesn't seem to work 99% of the time, plus you lose the end and have to recreate the entire end to the song.  Like you say, just to be able to keep everything about the song as it is, but get an awesome new remaster; it'd be perfect.  Haha, I was just thinking today I need to fix up my bandcamp page, lol. I put a band pic on there but wrote immediately underneath that it was just to create a vibe... but I haven't used it anywhere else and realised it wasn't an avenue I'll be pursuing.  Thanks! Yeah, I must admit that back when I was writing all those lyrics I always thought that one day I'd put the effort in, learn guitar and at least create some basic versions of those songs. That, of course, faded through the years, but this is the most ideal case scenario for someone in this position.  I still think most of my 200 tunes will probably remain unreleased, but I don't know. I go back and forth with it. Right now, just trying to sort through my 2001 songs and there's way more than one album from these sessions I'll want to release. If I could get the audio where I want it, possibly as many as three albums from just the 2001 sessions I'd be happy to release... but still all baby steps. Still several 2001 tracks I've not yet completed as I can't find them in my Library, lol. Even after cleaning it up a bit...  But yeah, I have always loved music a lot. I always said my three passions in life were photography, surfing and music but the music one always seemed a bit silly as it was just my love for listening to it, but it's awesome to finally get something tangible out of this love of mine too. I actually already miss writing new tunes while I'm trying to clear this whole backlog - cannot wait until I can just concentrate on the new stuff. I think some of my new songs from this year are actually pretty good - pretty "personal," though, which will be interesting to see how I handle when the time comes... Hmmm, tight. I thought I preferred #1 but back to back maybe the new one just edges it out, for me. I do like the chorus in V2 better. Two nice results, though.
    • Its the first & 2nd albums (Wildstreet & Wildstreet II) as a single release titled Origins as far as I've read, along with some rarities. https://www.eonianrecords.com/blog/wildstreet-release-origins
    • I mean Juno Roxas was hilarious making fun of this dude for a while. Lost a few Facebook accounts because of it lol Pretty sure he's related to Sammy Hagar
