"Me, Myself and Irene"

Raunchy slapstick adventure from the Farrelly Brothers stars Jim Carrey (in what may be his most manic performance to date) in a dual role as mild mannered "Charlie," a repressed Rhode Island state trooper, and his split-personality alter ego "Hank," a crazed maniac. When Charlie is assigned to escort a lovely witness (Renee Zellweger) back to New York State, both he and Hank battle for her affections on an increasingly twisted road trip that eventually includes mobsters, crooked cops, and a very hard to kill cow. A total hoot.

Let the Bullets Fly

A Chinese action comedy starring Jiang Wen and Chow Yun-fat. This film is hilarious! Holy shit, this is funny. The Chinese speak so fast so you gotta read the subtitles quickly, but it's definitely worth the headache. Heh. I highly recommend this.

"The Expendables" (2010)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1ux_rwSbpQ

Sylvester Stallone heads up an all-star cast of action heroes (including Dolph Lundgren, Jet Li, Jason Statham and Stone Cold Steve Austin) in an old school '80s style blow'em up/shoot'em up about a team of mercenaries who are hired to liquidate a South American dictator, but then find out there's actually a sleazy American connection (Eric Roberts) running things from behind the scenes. A totally silly but fun mayhem-filled throwback flick.

It could have been a better, cooler movie I think. It it said that the second one is even worse than this. But I've gotta see Chuck Norris in action again. ;)

Yeah, it was silly and the 'story' was probably written on a cocktail napkin, but hey, a lotta shit blew up and Charisma Carpenter was in it, so i was entertained. :D

"Bad Teacher" (2011)

Cameron Diaz stars as a vain, superficial, hard drinking, pot smoking, utterly unqualified middle school teacher who's only doing the job until she can find a rich "sugar daddy" to take her away from it all in this fluffy, occasionally raunchy comedy. Forgettable but funny, and Diaz is smokin' hot.

Extra bonus points for some Whitesnake, Dio, and Judas Priest songs heard during key scenes.

Napoleon Dynamite

Hilarious film. Loved it, so many funny bits. Great characters, great dialogue, etc.

Oh my God, I must admit that I hated this film. I think from memory the only time I laughed, was near the end when someone throws that steak??

:-(

Really?

It does take a little while to get into it. I was just talking to a mate at work about it and he said he hated it, watched it again and thought it was riotously funny. There are loads of really funny lines that are easily missed, some of the humour is quite subtle. Surely you love the uncle though? He was sooooo funny!

Megan Is Missing - pretty hardcore film, this one. Based on real events, this is a "mockumentary" based on the disappearance of two teenage girls who are best of friends. Watching this, not knowing how much is based on really truthful material, it's quite a viewing. Around the time the 2nd girl is abducted, it gets hard to watch in some instances and overall it's not the kind of film you could genuinely say you enjoyed, but it it what it is, and I thought it was brutal, but a "good" movie. Approach with caution... Anyone else seen it?

Gone - jeez this one was so-so. Still not sure what I really think of it. The story follows a girl who was once abducted (totally random and unplanned that we had a day at the movies with a theme ) but escaped and was unable to find out where she had been abducted and held, so no one believes her. Anyway, her sister is then abducted and because everyone thinks she's crazy no one cares and it's up to her to solve the mystery. I kinda hate movies like this, as it turns into an annoying chase-style movie at times, and there are just utterly stupidly unbelievable moments, but I have to say, it was not too bad, and kept me interested until the end, just to see how it turned out. Yeah... not too bad at all and worth a watch.

I hated it. I was getting up, checking the computer, finding snacks and such around the halfway mark and didn't care to pause it incase I missed something

"Halloween II" (2009)

Two years after Rob Zombie's "Halloween," a still-traumatized Laurie Strode tries to get on with her life and Michael Myers continues to pursue her, apparently on orders from the ghost of his dead mother and a white horse (?).

The violence is fabulously brutal as usual, but this movie meanders on waaaaayyy too long for its own good and is pretentious as hell to boot. Sorry, Rob ...Slasher movie fans want to see slashing, we don't want to see a study on the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder on dysfunctional families, or whatever the hell Zombie was trying to portray here.

Avoid.
