Hot Tub Time Machine - wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised, cheesy ending but I still enjoyed it! good solid 7/10

Just watched the roller derby movie WHIP IT, maybe I was just in the right mood for it, but I was suprised to enjoy it a good deal. The story was pretty predictable, but I enjoyed all the actors performances, even Drew Barrymore. I didn't even recognize Jimmy Fallon and Daniel Stern til the credits. I did find it odd that even though I think it was set in the present day, the locations and wardrobes made me feel nostalgic. Recommend :)

Me and Tom watched, and laughed at......

The Hangover

Later I watched......

Awaydays

A footie violence film about a load of Scousers doing the rounds ("let's do some damage"),and to be honest I had to laugh !

Great late 70s/early 80s soundtrack,Ultravox and a load of avant-guard, Cabaret Voltaire-type New Wave music.....But when it opened with the Vox's "Young Savage" I thought "Interesting",but it wasn't !!!!

LIMITLESS

Despite the ropey theme (a pill that makes your brain work better) this is actually very watchable. Good casting too. Not really a cinema-watch but definitely one for blu-ray/dvd...

Re-watch: Rat Skates' "BORN IN THE BASEMENT"

...cool documentary by the former Overkill drummer, where he shares his memories of being a founding member of that band, and the early days of the Thrash Metal movement in general. Worth a look just to see the loads of vintage pics & video clips from Rat's personal archives.

Tron Legacy - considering I never watched the original for some reason I enjoyed this. glad it kind of gave a little backstory at the beginning of the movie. and the part where the kid walks into the arcade and cuts the power on and Journey starts cranking out was very cool.
