Avengers Endgame.
For me it was a great movie. Worthy follow up to the last.
Lots of comedy in it, lots of more emotional stuff as well.
Really liked what seems to be coming in the future (won't give any spoilers)

Just got off a 10 hour flight to Shanghai.

Watched The Hurricaine Heist.
went in expecting utter crap but it was actually a reasonable movie. May have been huge if released in the 90's but shit has changed since then.

Tried watching Ralph Wrecks The Internet because I saw some shorts and it looked pretty funny, but after 10 minutes I canned it as just a kids movie.

The First Man? The Neil Armstrong movie.
exactly what i expected, and after an hour I started skipping until I saw the somewhat underwhelming ending.
It was done in the quiet, artsy way. Give me Apollo 13 any day...

I hate that flight. Dunno where you were flying from, but the 10 hour from Vancouver to Shanghai is the worst. No amount of movies can make it any less horrible.

We flew from Melbourne

In the middle of nowhere in China at the momenT, visiting factories sourcing new suppliers.

Every single person stares at us. Many get their phone out and take pics/video
Had one guy ask yesterday "what are you doing here?" I said "shopping"
He said "how did you get here?" I said "aeroplane, then taxi"
He looked very confused lol

My very very limited mandaring words are also useless here as it's a different dialect and they don't understand me at all.
Google translate is a saviour

Back to Shanghai tomorrow for a few days then off to Yiwu - the world's larget marketplace - for a few days.
Looking forward to watching Game Of Thrones from today before I see spoilers :)

Took my two oldest sons to see Avengers Endgame tonight...good show

I'm so done with superhero movies, I had no intention to see this. But someone bought me a ticket. I didn't want to like the film, but it's really good. So good that I'm thinking I might need to watch some of the film's I missed.

Brigsby Bear~ Low key comedy, little arty, little dark, but quite a nice film. Mark Hammill  and Greg Kinnear steal the show.

The Mule~Came and went but watchable, not memorable and damn Clint Eastwood is farking OLD.

Really liked how it just jumps straight in from pretty much where part 2 left off,so no need for an introduction :sm164:

Saw Endgame in the theatre last night and as already known this is a great addition to the Marvel franchise.

Snake Out of Compton, yep snake. This one would break Kieth's schlockometer, so bad and painful that is might be good? No.

Don't Worry, He Won't Get Far On Foot~ Gus Van Sants latest with Joquin Phoenix portraying Portlandian drunkard, quadrapalegic cartoonist John Callahan. Very well done, supremely serious and broody but a great film. Probably one of Jonah Hill's best performances and no he isn't even trying to be funny.

Winchester~the "true" story of the heir to the Winchester Repeater Rifle fortune and her maddening obsession with building a ghost hotel. Very interesting story however the movie was one jump scare after another and really probably just hollywoodized the underlying story. Worth a watch only to spark your interest to do some digging on the real tale. Apparently the house is still in the Bay Area and the end scene (s) and the great San Fran earthquake certainly make one wonder...

Hellfest~This watered down haunted theme park "scary" movie was meh. It was like a Scooby Do episode without the plot and/or being able to leer at Velma and Daphne...

John Wick 3 - OK third movie. Same as before, with noting really new. Bit too much fighting. Lots of fighting is ok, but there was nothing that made you smile during the fights.
I reckon the next one will be the last.

Brightburn - Dick Superman. Actually far better than I thought. In fact better than most DC stuff these days. Worth a look.

Captain Marvel (2019) - it was okay, I've seen so many of these superhero flicks that they are all starting to look alike....

What do you mean "starting"?

Dead Ant ~ If your not savy get to be. This one is b-movie schlock at its best and done last year. Jake Busey and Co. play an over the hump glam rock band trying to reignite the torch, they stop in the desert for some mind altering and shenanigans unfold.

A nice movie and the soundtrack is awesome! For fans of KIX as they use 2 tunes of theirs and Steep Panther as the movie bands new song amply entitle "Sideboob" is brilliant!

Serenity (2019) - weird movie with Matthew McConaughey, not quite what I expected, but the ending is rather dramatic and touching..

Arctic (2019) - good survival movie with Mads Mikkelsen, kept me interested and worried for the characters all throughout the movie

Happy Death Day 2U (2019) - I was pleasantly surprised with this sequel, I thought it was a fun continuation of the first one.

Agreed. They certainly upped the comedy but it was a fun tag along to the first one.

Finally got around to seeing Jigsaw, don't think I have seen any Saw movies since maybe the 3rd one and this was right inline with those. Splatter porn at its best with lots of "shall we play a game" riddles.

    • I to used see them a few times at the Middle as well. With local chapter of the Hells Angels at front bar. Not much a Screaming Jets fan, so I didn't watch them with Gleeson' The guy in front now, was their recent drummer before they put out in front Those first five albums are classics
    • My brother was playing some of this guy's stuff a few months ago. I only now got around to checking it out for myself. Pretty fuckin' good!
    • Seems these guys are no more   https://sleazeroxx.com/r-i-p-cobrakill-lead-guitarist-randy-white-announces-band-no-longer-exists/
    • I grew up listening to Cuntry, and have kinda wanted to get back into it. But not the typical New Cuntry shit. So I'll give this a try.
    • I always forget about this band, and then I listen to them and am like, "Oh, yeah, they're good!" And then forget about them for another year.
    • I was a pretty big fan. Nature Of The Beast is a killer song. Saw them with Dave Gleeson from the Screaming Jets singing and he did an amazing job, but pretty sure they have a new singer now  I recently went through the two most recent albums before this one and there were a couple of ok tracks, but mostly mid. Fun fact: I saw the Angels a couple of years before Doc died at the Middle hotel in Ferntree Gully and they seemed to hate each other. Pretty sure Doc said nothing to the crowd all night. Fun fact 2: when they were building the transit bar in Melbourne, a mate and I found a service elevator that went to the roof, which was under construction. After peeing off the roof, which is always fun, we realised that we could clearly hear the music 5 or 6 floors below from a DJ I think. He was playing Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again. We started yelling down the No Way Get Fucked, Fuck Off bit thinking we were hilarious. Then soon we noticed people looking up, and for some reason they seemed to be clearly hearing us. Another mate then called us to tell us security were on the way up the stairs so we took the service elevator down and managed to laugh it off. Stoopid drunk story I guess, but fun days.
    • Cheeky, getting your artwork in there. I wonder how you did that.  I like the vocal track on #1 and that'd be my pick. I personally don't dig the female versions of songs, because I'm not a female (yet?) and as these are songs written by ourselves I personally feel the best interpretation is an AI dude voice taking the place of your dude voice.
    • Yeah, that's great but this is obviously an accomplished musician probably completely in control of this output... not done with Suno, I'd bet. There's definitely dudes out there who are perfectly capable of doing their own music, like this dude, but for whatever reason might not be able to put a project together, again, for whatever reason... but this definitely feels a lot more like AI feeling in the missing gaps for someone otherwise in complete control of what he wants.  Either way, it is very cool indeed.  As Darkstone says, I'm not sure paying is the way to get the best results. I'm also not saying it isn't, especially with other platforms that are not Suno. I think already knowing what you're doing, musically, is the best way to get best results, personally. Suno, for example, is just perfect for someone who might enjoy writing lyrics but is not in any way shape or form an accomplished (or even adequate, lol) musician.  But yeah, it's pretty cool for some fun. I'm not sure if you checked out my links above. Keeping them pretty quiet due to lyrical content, lol, but you might dig some of the stuff in my links. 'As the moment passes by' and 'I'll wait for you' are two of my personal faves. Along with 'Faith to fall.'
    • Yeah, musically it's what you want, but vocally... Maybe Alex should take some vocal lessons from Ken Tamplin. ;}
