Where commenceth the list? Endless.

off the top of my head two major ones would be-

Peepshow (or whatever they changed their name to)

Wigelius

and obviously Cauterize.

Babylon Zoo - I don't care no-one else liked them, I loved their retro glam rock insanity.

Bad City (such promise pre-rape)

Badlands

Black Country Communion

Cinderella

Damn Yankees

Guns N Roses - will they do a new album?

HIM

Holy Soldier - I have worn out their first 2 discs, they are amazing

Jane's Addiction- never released a bad album in my opinion

Kix - just one more album is all I want

Linkin Park - not counting their last album I really liked them

Mastedon - it's been 13 years now...

Ratt - Infestation was cool, but that was 12 years ago now

Rush

Shotgun Messiah - I Want More, please reform

Soundgarden - King Animal was the end

Sugar - fuck me, Beaster was the heaviest alt rock EP and 2 great albums. I unashamedly loved this band.

The KLF - one album, a half dozen insane singles. I wanted more stadium house.

The Sisters of Mercy - Their last 2 albums of goth hard rock were perfection for my tastes.

Type O Negative - early stuff sucks but from Bloody Kisses on I really liked them before Peter died.

Velvet Revolver - still like them better than Slash solo albums

Vinnie Vincent Invasion

White Zombie - Rob Zombie solo just isn't quite as good as anything on Astro Creep 2000

XYZ

Off the top of my head and as mentioned above,

Damn Yankees and Roxus would be right up there.

Von Groove is also a good call.

They have not disbanded. They still tour regularly and brought out a single this year.

Plus Slash recently said they have been re-working some old Chinese Democracy songs, which I would assume are the ones that he was a part of before they were scrapped and everyone but Axl fucked off.

Wigelius aren't actually disbanded, are they? I thought it was more of a side project for him, when his main gig is production. But, anyway, I was just listening to Tabula Rasa yesterday, and was thinking we could all do with another album.

Yeah, it’s one of those ones that never officially split and as far as I know the door is still open, but the amount of time between albums doesn’t make you feel like you’re dealing with an active band. :(

Steelhouse Lane would be really interesting. Would love to see if the magic could be recaptured, as Slamer has had many opportunities to still record good music in the years and projects that followed Steelhouse Lane, but it must be said that nothing’s come even moderately close to that quality.

Not a band I listen to, but looking at it there last album was 6 years ago, and so was Reckless Loves until they released their new one this year. Sometimes bands just take a break after touring and recording relentlessly, especially when there are other projects they work on.

That said, early last year they said they were recording and were sposed to have an EP out by the end of the year, so they seem to at least be an ongoing concern even if they have not released anything

Yeah I'm not 100% sure, but it seems like they're inactive for the most part, though, whereas a band like Reckless Love keeps pretty active, one way or another. Hopefully I'm wrong and there's always something going on... just doesn't seem like the band and new music is a big priority for anyone involved. Admittedly, as an outsider looking in.

After touring for Invader RL pretty much vanished until just before Turbo Rider, and Olli was recording a few solo songs so I was starting to wonder about them too. The pandemic played a part in a lot of bands taking time off I think as well.

As I say though, looking at the Wiggly FB page, they posted back in March last year that they were recording an EP so they seem to at least be semi-active even if the material never materialised.

    • Swedish Erotica - Down 2 Bizniz. I could only find the full album on YouTube, but "Too Daze Gone..." is a Killer album and this is the opening track, so it works.
    • I wonder what control they have over the releases? That have promoted the BMG individual releases. The 2009 reissues were by original label, EMI. And this boxset seems weird being issued by Cherry Red. And I have not seen the bands social media promote it at all. I wonder if the reason the BMG ones were lacking in the bonus tracks from the previous reissue was EMI holding onto the rights, but have now allowed Cherry Red to release them. I know EMI used to be the distributer for Cherry Red, so they may be more forthcoming with the material.
    • Yep, cracking indie release of which there are so many but this one is actually really good.
    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
    • BlackRain - Hot Rock Time Machine Lee Aaron - Bodyrock
    • Now theres a blast from the past  I'm lucky enough to possess
    • Another i'm still awaiting the arrival of...same day release/delivery my arse Amazon  Still this is sounding like their best release thus far...they are gaining and getting better...although I did enjoy the last few albums also...but the sound/production from this one is excellent.
