Hello from Maryland!

Hello, everyone!   I am so glad to have found Heavy Harmonies and this message board! :-)  I've been reading here for almost a month and finally decided to make a profile and comment.  My name is Christopher, and as mentioned in my profile, I love many genres of music, from hard rock and metal, to AOR, to classic soul and R & B, but where I currently live in Maryland, it seems very challenging to find friends who are even close to being into. and passionate about, most of the music that I love, so the Heavy Harmonies site, and this message board, have turned out to be great encouragements for me! 

By way of introduction, it's not, at all, the most important thing about me (far down the list, really) but I will mention that from birth, I have had the physical disability of Cerebral Palsy, and I use a wheelchair and am not physically able to drive a car, so in a real way, throughout my life, being part of a community of like-minded music-loving friends is something that I have longed for so much, but only achieved at a few different periods of my 49 years on earth.  I love going to concerts (my first was Van Halen, in 1984, on the tour for that great album!), but all too often, I have had to watch from afar, as other people go to shows, with me usually not having a way to get there and back.  I still do have hope that that will change someday! :-)  Going to shows is so much fun!  I cherish the memory of each one that I've attended! 

Anyway, it's great to be here at Heavy Harmonies, and to have this introduction to say hello to everyone!  Rock on!
