I don't wanna get too excited, but going on the last two tracks he has put out, maybe just maybe the next album will deliver.

If he included the last single prior to this one on the album, that would not be too upsetting.

The new 2022 lineup of Santa Cruz – which sees Finnish frontman/guitarist and founding member Archie Cruz now joined by the talented Los Angeles-based trio of guitarist Jerry Jade (Bad Gvy), bassist Tommy Bradley (Revelry Gang), and drummer Randy McDemian (Abrahadabra Clothing) – will be filming a music video for the song on-location in Joshua Tree, California, and will make their live debut on Wednesday, April 6th at the Whisky A Go-Go in Los Angeles.

“I am stoked to keep working with the Vegas based label M-Theory Audio as I feel like they did a good job with two of our previous releases,” states Archie Cruz. “I am looking forward to completing this next album cycle and Santa Cruz chapter with them.”

June 2022 ... Not sure if this is another single or the album as no information other than picture and date available.

I would think it's a single according to this blurb:  the 5th Santa Cruz record ”THE RETURN OF THE KINGS” due next Fall

Missed it first time around, but it's a cool tune. I dig.

I was starting to have better hopes for this album, but from what has released so far it is a total mixed bag, and they don't seem to know what sound they are going with. A couple of great songs, some ok ones and some not so good.

The album in its entirety is actual quite nice. Now I am not a 16 year old girl who got all bent when the singer went solo and the band disbanded and kept going etc...

Not being a SC aficionado I had to go backward and listen to earlier tracks from the catalog that everyone gets all spun up on and in actuality, even the new song "Her Comes The Revolution" (which is awesome btw) isn't far removed from "Young Blood Rising" which the minions were all chubb'd up about.

Regardless, the album as a whole is real tasty and there are plenty of fluffy 80's hard rock numbers not unlike say  "My remedy" or even the classic (lol) "Hostile Shakedown".

Point being, stop being so one dimensional and listen to the music. Bands evolve a bit and yes this new "the Return of the Kings" is on first glance a deviation, but really its not at all if you REALLY listen, its just a more polished version of everything the uber talented Archie Cruz has been slinging for over a decade.

How much did Archie pay you to post that?

I, for one, am looking forward to it. Is it already out? That last song was a pretty nice slab of AOR... very unexpected.

Regarding 'Here comes the revolution,' I saw something on Youtube where someone mentioned if you speed it up (I can't remember if it was 1.25x normal speed, or 1.5x?) it actually sounds better, and I kind of agree. Sounds to me like it needs a kick in the buttocks regarding it's tempo.

But yeah, anyway, I've liked all their albums and I'll be very surprised if I don't enjoy this too.

Just tested it out. 1.25x is where it sounds best.
