A few months ago I would have agreed with you, but I think it's picking up quite nicely towards the end of the year.

Let's hope we get a few killer releases before Dec. 31st

Even love the label, but Frontiers releasing new titles every month does burn a hole in pocket. As I wrote in my message I sent to you, Dan.

For me its been worse, havent bought half as many releases this year...as for new releases before the year is out...i can't really think of any that im hotly anticipating in any way...apart for the new Cats In Space & AC/DC releases.

I said no,mainly because I bought more 2020 releases than 2019.

I say no.

for me I count 10 great albums this year against 6 last year

It's a yes from me.

Just feel like my 2019 list was much stronger at the top than my 2020 list.

If I were doing a top 5 list of 2019 and 2020 combined, it would go:

1.  H.E.A.T II (2020)

2. Pretty Maids (2019)

3. Crazy Lixx (2019)

4. Defiants (2019)

5. Eclipse (2019)

So 4 of my top 5 would be 2019 releases.

For me, 2020 just wasn't very exciting at all musically.  Maybe I was just in a bad mood from all the crap that's went on this year.

I'm expecting 2021 to blow the doors off 2020 also.  Should have W.e.t, Midnite City, Maverick, Shiraz Lane, Treat, maybe new Crazy Lixx and I'm sure much more.  Hopefully we really start to see results from all the COVID lockdown stuff and artists having time to work on music.  I have to think some have held back releasing music as there is little point if they can't play live to support it.

2020 has been quite a bit better than 2019 music wise...

and that’s the only regard in which it’s been better. 😒

Both years have been subpar.

I think 2020 is a tad better at this point thanks to Ac/Dc, Cats In Space, and a few others.

On reflection they are relatively close for me now, what I will say is I'm having a bit more difficulty picking a top 10 this year than last...so maybe that gives me my answer...maybe not

I finally gave Power Up a full listen today.

Innovative? No.

Groundbreaking? Certainly not.

Consistent? Yes.

Enjoyable? Absolutely.

I found myself bobbing along several times throughout. It's quintessential AC/DC IMO.

I'm actually a fan of the albums that weren't highly regarded. Flick Of The Switch for example is killer.

I've never paid them any attention. At all. Which albums are you referring to, if I was to give 'em a try?

Probably "Back In Black" would be one of the studio and "If You Want Blood" the live album.

Maybe a Bon Scott era release would be the other.
