Dynazty - Knock You Down

I was on the Dynazty website tonight. Have any of you seen the video for the song This Is My Life?

 

To me, if that isn't Skid Row smack dab in the middle of 1990 between the S/T and Slave To The Grind, I don't know what is.

 

The song is good, no doubt, but here is the thing that blows me away about this video...this looks like one helluva motherf'ing show being put on there. I have replayed that video a few times and I am impressed at the setup, the lighting, heck even fireworks? And the sound quality...amazing IMO (unless one of you tell me it is dubbed over). They only have one CD before this and maybe they shared this setup with many bands but still.

 

I found Bring The Thunder to be killer hard rock with moments of sleaze. I was looking forward to their next release before...now I am REALLY looking forward to it.

 

Seriously, if you like an up tempo power ballad, take the time to check this out. And if you don't, at least check out the video, I can't imagine too many here would feel it's a waste of time:

Agreed, watching this is like taking a dip in the hot tub time machine. Awesome clip and song. The song itself is listed as a bonus track on the new CD..... go figure, must be a typo?

 

I have to pull out the Bring The Thunder CD again - it didn't take holdafter a few spins and got shelved. Will give it another go.

That is from the bigest music competition, The SwWedish qualification for the Eurovision Song contest. It's one of the largest TV-events here in Sweden. Half of the Sweden are watching it. That is why it is sounds so good and the lightning is awesome.

 

That song is actually a cover of the song that won this swedish competition last year. My five year love that song .

Heat and Heat The Pooodles become big here in Sweden after they was in it with 1000 miles and Night of passion. Wig Wam won their qualification for Norway and Lordi won the whole European thing.

 

That bneen said it is a good version Dynazty makes of it

Thanks for the tip, I wasn't even aware these guys had a pending release. Their debut was excellent, the new one looks VERY promising

They are on the same record label as Heat nowadays. Storvox Records which is own by the Swedish hollywood actor Peter Stormare (Fargo etc). The new cd was recorded in his own studio near LA.

 

Maybe it will be less sleaze and more in the direction of Heat??? The singer has been singing for HEat during some parts of their tours when Kenny had problems with his voice.

Looking forward to this one! It's been recorded in LA, but it was mixed by Chris Laney in Sweden. Perfect package in my eyes

Damn, this does sound good! I don't remember being that impressed by the samples from their first album, but this new one sounds like it's going to kick all sorts of ass.

Their first album was pretty average IMO, but this sounds killer.

I liked the debut a lot, but I agree that the samples are making this new one sound awesome. Can't wait to hear it.
