Nothing against Indy, but tonight I had to pull for New Orleans.

This game seem to fly by.

Missed opportunities on both sides but over all entertaining.

A couple of really good teams that deserved to be there.

So if there are any Saints fans on this board, congrats!

P.S. Danica Patrick is delicious. And yes I went to Godaddy.com after every commercial and I'm not ashamed.

While I have absolutely nothing against the Colts, I found myself pulling for the Saints too. Exciting game between the best two teams in the NFL.

Danica.... oh sweet Danica. "Delicious" is definitely the right word!

Though I really didn't care who won the Super Bowl... was I the only one that was rather bored watching this game? I did enjoy halftime with The Who.

I hope the Saints remember to thank the refs for escorting them all the way through the playoffs and the superbowl during their trophy acceptance speech... Hooray for the Sympathy Bowl champions...

I hate NFL with a passion... but always good to see a good story like this through sport. No doubt yet another NFL movie will hit cinemas in a few months.

What did Danica do?

Didn't they earn a first round bye by having the best record in the NFC?

The Arizona game wasn't even close if I recall.

They took 4 or 5 turnovers as gifts from Minnesota.

I didn't notice any bad ref'ing last night though they were sort of quiet...which is a good thing for refs IMO.

I think they deserved the trophy.

What do you mean a good story like this through sport? What story? You creepy jerk.

I was going to make a hilarious post yesterday afternoon before I left, thanking Jeff for ruining the game for me because I'd taped it while I was work and now the result was ruined for me. And then I was going to be all like 'PSYCH!' because of my previous thoughts on the game and it would have been awesome. But I kind of left in a hurry yesterday and forgot. :(

Hmmm, that's woulda been a good one! I wonder if you would have gotten me with that because I never see you comment on the football posts much, let lone tape a football game...but would I have thought about it that much to realize it was a joke? ...instead being consumed with guilt thinking I ruined yours (and possibly others) planned evening to watch the taped game? The world will never know. :D

Hey, wait a minute....Dan can you remove this post? Months or years from now people are not gonna have any idea about the "scrotum post" and they'll read this post of mine here and....well, they can't think good thoughts.

Bad Monday. Bad bad Monday.

That's okay mate. I'll just make enough scrotum posts that they won't be able to be forgotten! :)

Absolutely, very nice indeed.

Not that it really matters, but who is she? Actress? Model?

They keep showing the Drew Brees Disney commercial all over the place.

I just remember, watching the celebration, seeing Drew Brees holding his son, tears welling up in his eyes, just in amazement of where his life had brought him, enjoying soaking up the moment with watching the wonder in his son's eyes (and also taking precautions to make sure his son is safe), seemingly looking like the epitome of a classy male in today's world (I say "seemingly" because after the Tiger Woods thing, who knows WHAT we'll find out, but he looked like he was in "awe" of where he was in life), and then seeing some of his teammates jumping around, acting fools, rubbing or kissing the Lombardi Trophy so it was much more difficult for it to get to the stage, cutting in front of one another/trying to one up each other for camera time, and just generally making spectacles (or something that sounds very similar) of themselves.

I understand that the emotion of the moment can do crazy things to you, but Brees just came off after that whole game/situation as a very down-to-earth, classy individual who deserves all the things (blessings) that are now coming to him. That's not a very "sports" or "manly" comment, but he just set himself up, far and away, from most other sports personalities as someone who deserves to be (and wouldn't shy away from, though he wouldn't feel he shouldn't be) a role model that anyone would be proud for their child to be a fan of him.

Not that I was (or wasn't) a big Brees fan before the Super Bowl (he was someone I wanted on my fantasy teams), but after last Sunday night, you can definitely call me a fan of the athlete and of the person.
