I love Cinderella's Still Climbing to death but the closing track "Hot N Bothered" is a stiff. It just doesn't fit the vibe of the rest of the album (possibly because it's a retread from the Wayne's World movie soundtrack tacked onto the end of this album for reasons known only to the band/record label...)

That's my second favourite song on the album (after 'Easy Come Easy Go')!

One of my faves too, dudes. It's one of the most authentic "true" Cinderella songs on the CD! :)

Favorite CD: Winger - Pull. The only track I skip is "Like a Ritual". They could have skipped that in favor of "Hell to Pay" which was the bonus track on the Japan release. That one rocks. "Like a Ritual"? Not so much.

Would I be savaged for suggesting 'Winds of Change' from The Scorpions' 'Crazy World'? I'm not sure it qualifies as "sucky", but I find it quite irritating and by the far the least fantastic song on a really good album.

I would also like to offer 'Change In The Weather' from Tesla's 'Psychotic Supper'. Great album, but a very strange song to start it with, pretty poor in comparison with most of the others. Again, maybe not actually "sucky", but not up to the standard of the album overall imo.

I like 'Like a ritual' but I could do without 'Who's the One' on an otherwise near perfect CD. Like you say, the inclusion of 'Hell to pay' would make the album near invincible.

It definitely seems out of place along with the others, but I like acoustic stuff. Some of the best being Harem Scarem's "Something to Say" and the acoustic version of "Slowly Slipping Away". Kingdom Come's unplugged CD is pretty good too, especially "You're Not the Only".

I'll throw out a couple more... Prior to "Back to the Rhythm" (good CD, but not killer), Great White could do no wrong as far as I was concerned. But, I'd always skip "She Only" (even for being acoustic) from "...Twice Shy" and "I Want You" from "Psycho City". I never liked those.

"Ordinary Lover" by TNT, I forget which album that is, but I hate that tune...

I was thinking "Easy Street" and "Indian Summer" from TNT's 'Realized Fantasies'.

Also good calls, TNT has a history of balancing awesomeness with total crap on their albums IMO, and I say that even being a HUGE fan. The only album I feel differently about is Knights of the New Thunder which is a consistently smoking release. :beerbang:

Just goes to show you never know. Those are two of my favorite songs but I do hate Ordinary Lover.

Wow. Guess I might be in the minority on that one.

And although I really liked "Baby's On Fire", I have to skip that one too. It just sounds tasteless and inappropriate now.

A couple more that spring to mind. Coincidentally, both from 1990 and both self-titled albums:

WWIII - Children of the Revolution; pointless and not particularly brilliant cover version on an otherwise excellent album.

Vicious Rumors - Axe and Smash; in a run of 4 great albums by this fantastic band, this song was a bit of a lame duck.

Just listening to Y&T-Contagious and Posion-Open Up Cds today and though of a couple of crap tracks from them imho....

On contagious the 2nd track L.A Rocks, whats that all about? tryin' and failing to be van halen? and to make it sound even worse they follow it up with the outstanding track Temptation, just to let you hear how great they can be!!

as for poison, what the hell were they thinking when they put Bad To Be Good on the otherwise brilliant imho Open Up & Say Ah! ???

Revenge is one of my favorite KISS albums, but it's saddled with two crap-tacular tracks - the power ballad "Everytime I Look at You" (ugh!) and that godawful cover of "God Gave Rock N Roll To You" (I don't care WHO is playing it, that song sucks!)

Aside from those two turds, tho, it's killer! :beerbang:

Wow. "Everytime I Look at You" is one of my favorite KISS tracks (along with "All Hell's Breakin' Loose") and maybe my favorite tune from '92. I agree with GGRNRTY though, that one is awful. I'll never understand why they released that as a single.

Any song on Master has no business on this kind of list IMO.

I HATE that Sheila song on Steelhearts debut!

    • I wonder what control they have over the releases? That have promoted the BMG individual releases. The 2009 reissues were by original label, EMI. And this boxset seems weird being issued by Cherry Red. And I have not seen the bands social media promote it at all. I wonder if the reason the BMG ones were lacking in the bonus tracks from the previous reissue was EMI holding onto the rights, but have now allowed Cherry Red to release them. I know EMI used to be the distributer for Cherry Red, so they may be more forthcoming with the material.
    • Yep, cracking indie release of which there are so many but this one is actually really good.
    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
    • BlackRain - Hot Rock Time Machine Lee Aaron - Bodyrock
    • Now theres a blast from the past  I'm lucky enough to possess
    • Another i'm still awaiting the arrival of...same day release/delivery my arse Amazon  Still this is sounding like their best release thus far...they are gaining and getting better...although I did enjoy the last few albums also...but the sound/production from this one is excellent.
    • Still awaiting mine to arrive...should've been on Weds  or according to my order that was the case anyway
