Best known for his partnerships in the The Cage with Tony Martin (ex-Black Sabbath) and Voodoo Hill with Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion, Deep Purple, California Breed), Italian guitarist Dario Mollo began his career in 1981 with the band Crossbones. With them, he released his first studio album in 1989, which was produced by Kit Woolven (Thin Lizzy, Magnum and UFO, among others) before getting involved in the production side of things himself. “This new project, “CrossBones” was created with the intent to pay homage to the band from where it all started,” says Dario. For the occasion, he brought back the drummer of the original lineup, Ezio Secomandi together with his regular collaborator Dario Patti on bass and keyboards. The choice for the singer is Carl Sentance (Nazareth, Don Airey Band, Persian Risk, Krokus), who came at the suggestion of Don Airey of Deep Purple, during a recent visit to Dario’s home. “This album includes the best of all the experience I gathered in my career in music and in artistic production,” concludes Dario. The quality of the material he recorded is witness to that. The album is planned for release towards the end of 2016, with tour dates to follow. Late in 2015, while surfing the main site, I noticed that there are quite a few "classic" bands/artists not included here at HH. I approached Dan with a listing of artists who I thought should at the very least be considered for inclusion on HH. What we need now is your feedback. Do you feel strongly that any of the following should be included on HH? And on the opposite side of the fence, are there any that you feel absolutely should NOT be included? Have other suggestions? Throw 'em out there! Listened to this one a couple times through today, and the one word that springs to mind is underwhelming. They definitely got hopes up by throwing "Let's Go" and "Dangerous" out to the public first. Maybe it'll be a grower....

Yeah, that cover is the lone clunker on the CD IMO. "After Forever" happens to be my favorite Black Sabbath song so I'm a pretty harsh judge when it comes to covers of it.... I'm sure they thought they were being clever when they were recording that song, like "Lookit us, a Christian band covering Black Sabbath! Woooo, aren't we being all ironic 'n stuff?" But Keith, they already did an ironic Sabbath cover... "Heaven and Hell" from 2011's The Covering.... best song on the disc too.

My top 10... Dokken - Back For the Attack (My favorite release EVER. Period.) Def Leppard - Hysteria (I remember calling into Dial MTV and requesting "Women" over and over when this one came out!) Van Halen - 5150 (Eddie + Sammy = Fucking Awesome) Guns n Roses - Appetite For Destruction (Legendary Sleaze) AC/DC - Back in Black (Just plain awesome) Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime (Love the story) Cinderella - Long Cold Winter (My favorite blues influenced disc ever) Warrant - Dog Eat Dog (Jani is/was incredible here!) Ratt - Ratt n Roll 81-91 (The best single disc Greatest Hits/Best of collection ever put together in my opinion. I've played this one to death over the years) Brother Firetribe - False Metal (I come back to this one over and over) Ask me this a month from now, and you may get 4-5 different answers... Y&T - 10 Tesla - Mechanical Resonance Whitesnake - S/T 1987 Bon Jovi - Slippery Pretty Maids - Pandemonium are all releases I come back to over and over as well.

Yep, CD-R only put together and sold at the band's 2004 reunion show. I couldn't make the show, but did manage to get a disc and T-shirt from Rob & Kasey Martin. :-) *You can't really see it in the pic, but under "All of the music" it also says "None of the Hair"

Was the Theatre re-issue silver pressed or was it a CD-R. This is one that I asked about on their facebook page and they never responded. A friend of mine received his and it actually is a silver-pressed CD. Yep, I picked up the Theatre re-issue as well; silver pressed.

"The Blacklist" is easily the best new show of the season; Spader plays Red with a nonchalance that is kinda unsettling when you see him carry out deeds like he did on this week's episode.
