Not exactly. John Corabi, Bruce Bouillet, and John Alderete, all members of The Scream, are credited as writers on "Man in the Moon"; Jamie Brown is the only member of Roxanne credited on the song. The Scream released their version 27 years earlier... they did not cover it.

I picked this one up on its release day, and I gotta say, overall it's not bad. While it's always going to feel kinda odd hearing anyone other than Kevin sing Metal Health, Condition Critical, etc... Durbin does really well on the lesser known tunes like "Terrified" and "Whatever It Takes".

I like it... don't love it... just like. It does give me hope that the album will rock overall though.

Indeed. I usually work on one of these over the course of several days so that I don't get burned out on it. I do enjoy looking at how certain years fare when you compare the various releases from them though.

2011 releases on top. 2012 on bottom I think the majority of the match-ups make some sort of logical sense.

Sometimes I just need to sit and think for a while… For me, songwriting is an attempt to understand this thing called Life and how I fit into it. How to survive in a world apparently determined to set itself on fire. Do I bring a match or do I join the Bucket brigade? The answers are not always so simple. Ideas usually start with a lyric, hook, or groove that will not leave me alone. It runs in a loop in my head non-stop, always in the background like a face half hidden in the shadows. (This usually happens in my kitchen by the way. Kind of annoying.) Anyway… that shit will torture me until I record it in some form. Eventually, a new record starts to take shape. Something I need to say; something that needs to be said. No-holds-barred, brutally honest. In a world with so much disposable music, these songs need to stand the test of time. Recording Lost in the Ether was a blast. Full of people I’ve known for 30+ years. People I came up with. People I grew up with. Old friends and a few new ones who graciously donated their time and talents to making back-to-basics rock n’ roll music. Songs for late night drives on darkened highways. Yeah, overall a pretty good album. I've found that the older I get, the more I appreciate his music.

Welcome back Izzy! I'll admit that I got caught up in the whole Facebook thing, and haven't been on here much at all in the last few years (although I work on the main site weekly adding new CDs to the database). I made myself a promise that I would cut down on my FB time in 2019 since it's mainly just one political argument, terrible news story or a "hey, look at the 100th selfie I've posted this week" anyway, and I already find myself enjoying being back on here more often quite a bit!
