Manowar- THE SONS OF ODIN E.P. - I think the Manowar boys have been hangin' with Rhapsody a little too much lately, as this is a little too "symphonic" for me. Yes, Manowar always had hints of that in their sound but it's starting to take over. I like Manowar better when they just plug in and kill everything in the room

3 new releases I've just picked up, all sound good but are going to need some spins to get into....

 

I like the Rain one, a couple of really, really good songs on that one. I was listening to the other 2 this morning:

 

Final Frontier - very, very good. Easily their best.

Pretty Maids - wow, they mixed it up here. No fast paced metal opener, and is there only one on the whole disc??? That excellent song about war? Loved that one. The melodic mid-tempo/ballad tracks are sensational, as always... a few decent metal tracks, and the opener is very cool - love that huge riff. Overall, another excellent CD from this excellent band.
