What's a spinnin' in your CD player?

Recommended Posts

At home today putting some tapes to CDR so I can play them in the car..mainly demo's of local bands most from the 80'2 early 90's:-

Smashed - The Cosmic and Almost Legendary - great glammy band from Bolton kind of Faster Pussycat meets the Monkees and the Sex Pistols...they did a killer version of Stepping Stone live.

Earthwood - 4trck demo - weird rocky, odd bluesy feel in parts. Only saw them once but was well impressed.

The Skulls (NY/NJ) - demo, used to trade tapes with Mike Mindless the bassist who sent me the tape and then was kind enough to mail me the first album Dress Up and Die . Great NYDollsy guitar sound in parts but with a dark almost goth punk feel.

Dave Lee Roth - A 2 part radio interview (an Innerview of Van Halen) 1st part just Dave and the second part Dave and Ediie....pretty funny interview (they both sound stoned LOL).

Anyway on the way to work

Van Halen - s/t

Queued for the way back

Sufjan Stevens - Come On Feel the Illinoise - a WEIRD CD that my mate down the road has lent me after raving over it, rocky, folky, jazzy, indie alt sound. Some tracks are stunning. Not really HH fodder but people with an odd out there taste might get something from it. :screwy:
