It's better than Never Say Die but still not near as good as the first 6 albums.

For me they sound much more like some bands they influenced than sounding like the Classic Sabbath.

Iommi does play his ass off though as usual but there's not that many great songs IMO.

 

Keep listening mate, experimental stage, this grew on me eventually!

 

Not the dark depressing classic era but still excellent

 

Never Say Die is great too, some excellent songs on there too

 

Never Say Die has 3 or 4 really good songs and mostly their the first 3 tracks.

Yeah I agree with both of those albums they were in their experimental stage and there is some good stuff going on and some great playing but both of those IMO anyway pale in comparison to the early stuff. Then Heaven&Hell came along and they were awesome again.

Richard Marx - 'Emotional Remains' ; took a chance on this and it looks like f*ck to be paying off. There are actually bollocks on this CD and so far 'Better or worse' and especially 'Part of me' are just delicious.
