"Phenomena" (1985) a girl with insect-whispering abilities uses them to solve a series of murders at an exclusive Swiss girls' boarding school in Dario Argento's atmospheric, weird but strangely compelling horror/mystery starring a teenaged Jennifer Connelly. Also known as "Creepers."

Fire Birds...this wasn't good when it first came out and it really smells today.

One of my guilty pleasures. By pretty much any standard, it's a bad movie ... but for some reason I enjoy it.

^^ Since my kids liked "The Animal" so much, I'm thinking about introducing them to the "Ace Ventura" flicks and/or "Dumb and Dumber"...they have a similar dorky humor

Yes my 8 year old loves them!

"42" (2013) Well made bio-pic about Jackie Robinson's tumultuous first year with the Brooklyn Dodgers, as he becomes the first black man to break baseball's color barrier. I love a good baseball movie and this was a great one!!

"Open Season 2" (2009) The dim witted deer and his grizzly bear pal are back for more slapstick animated mayhem in this direct to video sequel set around a pet resort. Disposable family fun with a welcome Looney Tunes inspired mean streak.

"Pacific Rim" (2013) Guys piloting giant robots to fight against Giant Monsters bent on taking over our planet? Oh hell, yes, please. Guillermo del Toro's rock-em-sock-em epic is a tailor made fanboy favorite. If this movie had existed when I was ten years old, it would've been like porn for me!! Haha

Can't wait for the next installments, and how he's gonna incorporate Godzilla.

"Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy" (2010) an insanely in-depth (four hours!) documentary about the "Nightmare on Elm Street" series, from the 1984 Wes Craven original thru 2003's "Freddy Vs. Jason." Features lots of behind the scenes clips and interviews with virtually every cast member, director, special effects guy and studio exec that ever crossed paths with Freddy Krueger. A treasure trove of horror nerd trivia!

Yea I Loved that too Man.. Just wish they would have explained exactly what happened with Patricia Arquette between parts 3 and 4.....I don't think anyone really knew, she just didn't want to play the character again.. or something like that....

Patricia Arquette's career took off after "III"... she prob wasn't available, or wanted too much $$, take your pick.

"The Conjuring" (2013) cool, creepy retro ghost story based on a case file from Ed & Lorraine Warren, the paranormal investigators best known for their work on the "Amityville Horror."

Fargo (TV Series)

Been watching this slowly over the last month, and I only have two episodes to go, which I'll save for tomorrow. This is such an excellent series, and I have no idea how this is gonna end. If you like the film - what film nerd doesn't? - you should love this, too. It's a very nice addition, but I should say it is strictly a spiritual successor, as the story has no ties to the film.

"The Wolverine" (2013) The X-Man travels to Japan to repay an old debt and ends up tangling with ninjas, the Yakuza and the Silver Samurai in this overlong but satisfactory butt kicker loosely based on Wolverine's first solo adventure from 1982.

"Ghost Shark" (2013) Genre legend Richard ("Night Court") Moll stars in this supernatural SyFy schlocker about a spectral shark chomping on the residents of a seaside community. Believe it or not, this flick is better than it has any right to be given its utterly absurd premise.

Prepping for Sharknado 2? :)

The Lone Ranger

Not as horrible as the minions said it was. Reminiscent of the Wild Wild West movie with Will Smith and the Pirates of the Caribbean series just with cowboys not pirates. J. Depp should not be allowed to play Tonto, but it wasn't that bad.

Identity Theft

:) So stupid, but still pretty darn funny. WAAAYY better than Bridesmaids or that cop one with Sandra Bullock however...

    • Swedish Erotica - Down 2 Bizniz. I could only find the full album on YouTube, but "Too Daze Gone..." is a Killer album and this is the opening track, so it works.
    • I wonder what control they have over the releases? That have promoted the BMG individual releases. The 2009 reissues were by original label, EMI. And this boxset seems weird being issued by Cherry Red. And I have not seen the bands social media promote it at all. I wonder if the reason the BMG ones were lacking in the bonus tracks from the previous reissue was EMI holding onto the rights, but have now allowed Cherry Red to release them. I know EMI used to be the distributer for Cherry Red, so they may be more forthcoming with the material.
    • Yep, cracking indie release of which there are so many but this one is actually really good.
    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
    • BlackRain - Hot Rock Time Machine Lee Aaron - Bodyrock
    • Now theres a blast from the past  I'm lucky enough to possess
    • Another i'm still awaiting the arrival of...same day release/delivery my arse Amazon  Still this is sounding like their best release thus far...they are gaining and getting better...although I did enjoy the last few albums also...but the sound/production from this one is excellent.
