From Frontiers:

Vitalines is a new melodic rock alliance formed by two real luminaries of the genre. On one side the “voice from heaven” Robbie LaBlanc, the singer of Blanc Faces and Find Me who has also recently appeared on the T3nors album. On the other, one of the most esteemed and capable songwriters and musicians of the genre, the Swedish studio wizard Tommy Denander.

The two musicians have been planning to work together on a pure Melodic Rock album for several years and when the right time came, both took immediately the chance to build up another exciting musical alliance. The bar was set very high and the result is the fantastic “Wheels Within Wheels”: an amazing journey between melodies, guitar riffs, superb keys and spectacular vocals.

All the Toto, Journey, Survivor and Foreigner fans will find something to love on this album as Tommy outdid himself especially for the superb level of songwriting, while Robbie probably delivered his best vocal performance ever.
Simply an absolute must for all AOR fans and one of the musical highlights of the entire season!

As a massive fan of Robbie LaBlanc, I am not sure we need to hear more from him again this year, but this sounds pretty sharp so I'll try to enjoy it on it's own merit.

Gave it a sneaky listen today. It's half decent but it's Denander to a T, whatever that means to you. There's some nice songs on it, but I definitely considered if I'd prefer ADV writing LeBlanc's songs, or Denander. Couldn't decide. I guess their best five each would be the secret formula. Solid stuff. Denander fans will dig ti.

I think he's done some stellar stuff over the years. His 'Less Is More/ Skeleton' discs were great, Frederiksen/ Denander & Jim Jidhed were good and the Spin Gallery and Radioactive projects were excellent, along with the first Prisoner album too which was one of my highlights that year. This one sounds well above average and LeBlanc sounds good as always.. I pretty much file this alongside the Cry Of Dawn disc also released this year and also solid.

This one struck me as a "keeper".   I'm getting so particular about what I buy these days, but I did pickup the Japanese Pressing of this one with one bonus track.   Just got it and ready to give 'er a spin.

This one has snuck its way back into my play rotation the last several days and I'm liking it a lot.  This feels like the Find Me album that we SHOULD have gotten instead of the last two.

    • This is kind of a twofer. I just got my Pioneer VX-90 Betamax back yesterday. Cost me a fortune to get it fixed. Well worth it to have such a beast of a machine. Before that I only had low to mid tier Beta machines. I am very excited. The first tape I played was Quiet Riot: Bang Thy Head. Watching that video I found myself in awe of how awesome Quiet Riot were during those first few years. How is it possible for a band to be that awesome and have it all go so wrong so quickly? By the time I heard about Quiet Riot in the early 2000s they were basically considered a joke. Sadly, I kind of just accepted that as fact. I was a casual fan at best and never really looked much deeper than the radio hits. That was a mistake. I am lucky that I at least got to see them live a couple times. I didn't appreciate it at the time. That was really cool of Kevin and the other guys to sign my ticket stub.
    • From Bravewords... Legendary rock guitarist Jake E. Lee (Ozzy Osbourne, Badlands, Red Dragon Cartel) has issued an update after he was shot multiple times earlier this week in a Las Vegas, NV street shooting. Jake shared the following via social media: "Checking. Is this on? Been awhile since I posted here. Let’s see: "I deeply appreciate all the concern and well wishes. Makes everything going on a little better. To clarify, I was shot three times. I was on my way back home from walking my dog Coco (I didn’t name him so don’t!) Don’t want to go into details now, I’m tired, but I feel relatively very lucky. The police found 15 shell casings at the scene which means he emptied his clip on me. I could only dodge so many so one bullet went through my forearm, one through my foot, and one in the back which broke a rib and damaged a lung. Priority now is to keep draining my lung till it’s done crying. Then we can pull that tube out and concentrate on the more minor injuries. "And by the way, Coco’s fine and appreciates your inquiries!"   Police released a statement regarding the shooting, which occurred early morning on October 15. The statement reads: "Officers responded to a shooting incident in the 11000 block of Alora Street. Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the hospital. No arrests have been made at this time. This is an ongoing investigation." In a statement to TMZ, Ozzy Osbourne said, “It’s been 37 years since I’ve seen Jake E. Lee, but that still doesn’t take away from the shock of hearing what happened to him today. It’s just another senseless act of gun violence. I send my thoughts to him and his beautiful daughter, Jade. I just hope he’ll be ok.” Lee played with Ozzy from 1983-1987 and was featured on the albums Bark At The Moon and The Ultimate Sin.

    • This is one of the songs Erik and Jona wrote for the next Skid Row album before he handed his notice in
    • So I have this info from a reliable inside source. There will be a new CL album at the start of 2025, and Danny is also working with Chez Kane on her third album which should come out late 2025.
