Eönian Records‘ press release indicates (with slight edits):

“Indianapolis, Indiana – In the early ‘90s, local rockers Toy Cannon were on the verge of signing a major label record deal. At the time, their unsigned recordings caught the ear of MTV’s Adam Curry and literally gained recognition overnight on NYC’s Z-100. After winning a battle of the bands sponsored by the radio station and being awarded the high honor of opening for Poison, the grunge movement took hold and diverted destiny. These early recordings of the band have been in the vault, unearthed for over three decades, … UNTIL NOW!!

Eonian Records proudly releases Toy Cannon‘s “Forever One,” a beautifully packaged CD with all the original BearTracks recordings remastered, including a bonus track from the Twain sessions and basement tape home demos. A gorgeous 12-page booklet is included, rich with Toy Cannon live shots, candid photos, band flyers, news clippings & ads, song lyrics, and a complete comprehensive biography, making it the ultimate time capsule piece for those who remember this monumental moment in the band’s history. Look out for Toy Cannon “Forever One” on Eonian Records.”

Dead Planet already posted this in the video section...I just added it to the topic :drink:

Man, lately I've been holding on to my money for when I come across something I really want, and right now it looks like Eonian is going to be get a lot of it sometime soon!  These new announcements might push me to make a rare bulk order despite never hearing of any of these bands before.  And while not officially announced I don't believe, their website shows a preview of not one, but two albums by Taz scheduled for sometime early next year and I don't think I've been as excited for a preorder to go live!

Eonian is definitely releasing some killer titles and the forthcoming Toy Cannon, NY Fury, Misery and Taz releases are already pre ordered.   I believe these will all sell out very quickly.

Is there a way to pre-order Taz yet?  I can't wait!

Am I imagining it, or did Eonian kind of disappear for a while there (as in a few years) but now they're releasing a stack of new stuff? Good to see them back in the fold as I love this kind of stuff.

This band would be one of my favourites of the recent batch I've heard. Very nice sound, and it sounds like there will be tunes with adequate production to listen to. I like it a lot.

Why do all band members nowadays have a full head of hair? You hardly if ever see a Scorpions style haircut.

Yeah they only released Cold Shot in 2014 & the Sunset Strip boxset in 2015...then disappeared until last year when they came back out of the blue with Kenny Mcgee & Mullett followed by quite a few more...its been good to see them back.

I'd like to think that video was back in the day...either that or they have been extremely lucky  :)

There's some nice stuff on the one, with the first six tracks being well produced too, which I always love to hear on these types of albums... as it's rare as all balls. Admittedly the strong sound quality probably makes all six of those first tracks my favourites. Would love to hear the other seven with the same sound quality, as they're all cool songs too... but overall, I enjoyed this album. 'Come A Little Closer' is probably my pick of the strong first six.

The songs posted are nice, very Trixter, HOWEVER that album cover, good grief, the shit that comes out of my ears is more appealing. Why just why would you release your wares after 30 years and go "ya that cover is tight"??? WTF?

Lol, what’s so bad about it? I personally don’t mind it. I definitely prefer it to the painfully obviously computer generated ones we see now and then these days.

Ya, I pretty much agree with you. Am getting tired of album covers with all those gigantic planets and galaxies.

Yep, they're some of the ones I'm talking about. Hate them.

Well, I would think having your music finally released after 30+ years would have you feeling so high you likely aren't thinking about what the package might look like. It's the labels that should be putting in the effort.

Lol you all ran with it didn't you, but where you went is exactly what I was getting at.

As for this Toy Cannon, it is some very low rent, any 50 year old with Foxit could make, just lame.

I'd rather a simple black cover with the bands logo, all dolled up.

And yes Karpet, these labels should do better and take a thing or 2 from good labels like Stormspell, Iordan puts mountainous efforts in his packaging and it shows.

I personally think Eonian nail it more often than not too. Nowadays you kind of want to keep band pics of 70 year old dudes tucked as deep into the booklet as you can get, but back in the day I'm sure we all bought more than a couple of albums based on the band pics alone, and I personally love the covers with the really typical type of pics that would have drawn us all in back in the day. I only need one look at the Toy Cannon cover to know I want to hear what these sexy boyz are laying down.

I don't think any of these three releases are amazing, but the front covers made me need to find out either way. :)
