No comment because you don't like it? I like that quite a lot. I have a feeling I'll be enjoying this album by myself, but I'm really enjoying what I'm hearing so far.

One thing I'll say is the musicianship doesn't sound to me as good/tight as it was with the old band. Not bad, but a more "standard" sound compared to the well oiled machine they were before.

But yeah, I dig this song plenty.

Nope, I can almost guarantee this is gonna appeal to me. I don't think its gonna be good as self titled, but so far I have liked what I have heard.

I've come across the Bon Jovi comparison a few times now, on here as well as Youtube and Instagram. Which Bon Jovi era / song are you referring to?

lol, yeah, I'm very curious too. I really can't understand that even a single bit. At all.

I think it may be a reference to the opening part...it sorta sounds like "its my life"...faintly...very very faintly?

It's My Life. With a hint of Poison by Alice Cooper in the chorus. :D

I can hear elements of both of these in the second song as well and while it is better than the first song still pales in comparison to Screaming for Adrenaline, in my opinion

yes it's miles worse than all those bands eh??

imo half decent but as previously stated by a few others both tunes so far are a way off previous output and one wonders if they should even have kept the Santa Cruz name.

That I totally agree on. Does not sound like Santa Fucking Cruz at all.

In the grand scheme of things (their back catalog), this is a very average song.

But I still kinda diggit, for what it's worth.

Nope.

But in all seriousness, it's so different to those bands that it's not really apples with apples to compare these bands. Too dissimilar.

In, my opinion.

it's dissimilar all right. Not in a good way ;)

Again, that's not a straight comparison either.

Better than early Bon Jovi? No. Better than Bon Jovi from 1996 onwards? For the most part, yes. By a long way.

Better than early Poison? Nope. Better than Poison after 1994? Hell yes.

Better than 'Trash' or 'Hey Stoopid?' Nope. Better than the rest of Alice Cooper's entire discography? Hell yes.

Better than Reckless Love? Too hard to say based on a couple of tunes, but I'd say Santa Cruz and Reckless Love are pretty similarly placed bands in the overcall scheme of things?

Can't say until the new album drops, but I don't think they're fading. They're chugging along quite nicely for me. Just a shame "they" is not really "they" anymore.
