POISON, CINDERELLA, Ex-L.A. GUNS Members Join Forces In DEVIL CITY ANGELS; First Single Streaming

July 10, 2014 2 Comments

"All My People", the first single from DEVIL CITY ANGELS, the new band featuring guitarist Tracii Guns (L.A. GUNS), drummer Rikki Rockett (POISON), bassist Eric Brittingham (CINDERELLA), and vocalist/rhythm guitarist Brandon Gibbs (CHEAP THRILL), can be streamed below.

Rockett recently took to Twitter to complain that POISON couldn't hit the road this summer because a certain member of the glam-metal act was "making it a problem."

The Bret Michaels-fronted group last toured the U.S. in 2012 as part of the "Rock Of Ages" package with DEF LEPPARD and LITA FORD.

The last POISON album was 2007's covers set "Poison'd!", while the band's last collection of new, original music was 2002's "Hollyweird".

To celebrate POISON's 25th anniversary, 35 of the multi-platinum band's top hits and fan favorites were gathered for "Double Dose Of Poison: Ultimate Hits", a career-spanning 2CD and digital collection which was released in May 2011 by Capitol/EMI.

Tracii Guns, who in 2012 announced that he was retiring his version of L.A. GUNS, last year ruled out the possibility of a reunion with his former bandmates Phil Lewis and Steve Riley (drums), saying that he has "played those songs enough" in his life.

CINDERELLA hasn't released an album since 1994, when "Still Climbing" came out, but continues to play sporadic shows.

A supergroup? well all except the singer.. ha ha

Never even heard of Cheap Thrill. And they dont even appear to be on the database here either.

Kinda sounds like early 80s Aerosmith, which is not essential to me.

Cry Of Love and early Aerosmith?! Wow, kinda glad I can't (and won't) listen to this at the minute...

As a big Poison fan I dig the drums and that trademark Rikki Rocket sound. Rikki and Brittingham seem to have a pretty good vibe, which kind of reminds me a little bit of Poison. There is one big shame about the whole situation. The song is absolute shit. :(

From FB:

We're in the final stages of mixing the new album and it's sounding fantastic! This part of the process has taken us a little longer than expected, because we want to get you the best quality record possible. Then it's off to mastering and duplication.
We also wanted to let you know that our original timeline for releasing is being slightly altered. Right now, we're eyeing a street release date sometime in September 2015, and you'll still receive your download of the record before this. All orders will be fulfilled by ASAP !
We'll of course keep you Updated as things move forward, and thanks again for being a part of this pre-order!
