For fans of female-fronted rock...

Take the vocals from The Bangles, Bananarama, Go-Gos, The Corrs, or Wilson-Philips, and set them to modern hard rock/metal instrumentation, and you get this.

Been listening the heck out of it for the past few weeks. Rather than give away who it is, here are two tracks to (1) get your opinion of, and (2) do you think the style is appropriate for HH?

Wow... close call on whether or not I personally think it is HH material.

I would say that it fits the site just as well as a few others that have made their way onto these hallowed pages.

PS: Good Stuff...

Ive always enjoyed female fronted Rock/Metal. Of the two songs I like the first one better. I checked out the rest of the CD (sound bytes)so i know who they are. ;). I think its almost as good as some, and not any worse than others. ;) I think with the female fronted rock music already here, it would be fine. Not to mellow and not too hard.

That's not bad at all. As for if it fits in the site or not, did I miss something? Sounds like straight up melodic rock to me. Maybe with a slight modern vibe, but certainly HH material as far as I know. :)

I like it. I can see how it might be considered non HH's material as it has similarities to those female fronted symphonic metal bands, but this is different to those, more melodic rock and not so symphonic.

Apparently they had at least one prior album, which I now need to track down. Vid from previous album:

Good songs, especially the first 2. Sound like they should definitely be added to these hallowed pages.

The album is released over here this Monday if anyone is interested.

They've been quite popular here, Pernille (the singer) also had a lot of succes with her previous band Swan Lee.

The bassist (and Pernille's husband)used to play in Mew.

The couple are equal front figures in the band.

Not really my thing, but I always love it when you guys talk about Danish bands. :-)

Just got the album today and although only one spin through so far, very very strong album. Thanx for the heads up on this one Dan, a very nice find, although do we really need another band called The Storm ;)

I managed to track down the debut album 'Where the Storm Meets the Ground' as a Japanese only SHM-CD + 2 bonus tracks for £15 inc p&p from an Amazon seller. :headbanger:

That was way the cheapest that I could find.
