Man Cave!

Does anyone here have a small section of your house you call your own? Stocked with c.d.'s, toy's, magazines, and other stuff your better half hates?

My Mancave is my loft. It's the only place, my wife does not like to venture to (Spiral Staircase  ).

I just got rid of a futon, so I had more space for those little silver discs we so desperately seek.

I actually have a name for this He-Man Women haters club, type section of our home.

I call it CLUB LOFT :beerbang:

The beers are always cold. The Bartender (Me) is always giving free advice on relationships. The D.J.(Me) spins everything from Death, Melodic,Speed,Thrash,Sleaze and A.O.R. The bouncer (Me) is never a douchebag. Even though it seems like I'm the only patron, all are welcome at Club Loft (accept for the red headed tyrant who lives downstairs from the Club..

I hope someday to actually have a band play up there..

When I built my cabin I planned ahead. I had the basement left unfinished.

Though it took a couple years my "man cave" is nearly complete. It actually consists of 2 rooms and a 20 foot hallway. The first room houses all my CDs and records along with the stereo. It also includes my computer and a spare bed (LOL). The second room is my private "Lounge". The "Lounge" consists of a sofa, recliner, and a big T.V. (great for watching sports). Both rooms are full of all my rock memorabilia. The CD room has all my autographed photos and posters along with my prized KIX "Blow My Fuse" RIAA gold album award. On one side of the hall is all framed KIX posters while the other side in all framed Joan Jett posters. The T/V. room contains random posters and other rock memorabilia.

The best part of all... I installed a storm door with a double lock to keep out unwanted guests (I.E... The wife). Of course I am the only one with a key. The only thing I want to add is a fridge in the T.V. room.

Dave - your basement sounds awesome! My man cave would be the garage. I've got a computer chock full of music hooked up to a stereo with 4 speakers set up along two of the walls. I have a mini-fridge and a bucket full of koozies and a bunch of folding lawn chairs out there. It's a great place to go anytime I need to get out of the house. :beerbang:

Oh yeah...just had an extension built which included my own little cave! CD's, albums, books, PC, a couple of guitars....a straw hat (for BBQs), it all here, just need a lock on the door as I've noticed some of "the boy's" stuff creeping in, there's a remote control rock crawler that ain't mine that's for sure. Still gotta get my Farcry poster framed as there's not much up on the walls ...yet!

Me too Dave..

I have a ton of posters that I want to frame and hang, but I'm not sure if I'm going to build a shelf for the c.d.'s.

I got some cool posters of AMERICAN DOG, FARCRY, DIAMOND HEAD, THE LOST as well as concert flyers of TRIGGER, BUGGIRL, MUNICIPAL WASTE.

LV KIX!

I bow to your two rooms

Why yes I do have a man cave. It houses my CD collection, video games, my Philadelphia Eagles stuff, my Iron Maiden maxi singles (framed on the wall), some porn, a stereo with surround sound, a couch, a frig, and an old TV. The only thing it needs is a plasma TV.

I need to take some pictures and post them.

This makes it the best Man Cave already ;)

Well, living with my parents at age 19, my 'man cave' would be my tiny little bedroom xD still, as measly as it may appear compared to some other rooms mentioned...its not a bad setup i gotta admit, and i shall bore you all with the details now ;)

Got all my CDs, alphabetised and catagorized, computer hooked up to my stereo system, all my recording software is on the computer with my pedalboard hooked up and i just about have enough space for my Kramer, Les Paul and Strat aswell as my Bass, Acoustic, two keyboards and guitar amp....nothing special but i can lock myself away in there for days and just learn songs, record, practice, smoke (;)), drink, read (all my comics are nice n handy), watch DVDs, listen to tuneage etc....

And having a bed there when i have a girl over is a major advantage xD (this is where i point out that my comic books are nicely concealed, guitars seem to give off a better vibe than a comic collection :P)

Yeahh nothing compared to having my own chillout room in my own house, but I still got everything i need! :D

I strongly urge you to get that lock. I suppose I could live with some extra stuff creeping in.. But if anything creeped out, that would be another story. :hammer:

I was going to say that this sounds a bit like the concept of a Porn Room that a friend and I once discussed (jokingly and perhaps a tag longingly) but someone beat me to it.

No chance of a man cave while my wife is still alive. We'd hardly ever see each other (which might be a way to sell it to her...)
