  1. I just can't agree with this sort of reasoning at all. They DID score more points than the other team. You are saying every team should make sure they are leading by 9 points or more so that on the last play of the game the officials cannot screw you out of a victory. Uhhh, no. I thought the Packers played a horrible first half, but made excellent adjustments, played good in the second half and if not for a phantom roughing the passer penalty nullifying an Interception, and a phantom pass interference call on Sam Shields on bomb down the sidelines maybe the Packers would have been up by 9 points or more. How many plays does a team have to make to get 9 points ahead. I have heard a few people use this logic and the "he should have bat the pass down" logic and they just don't make sense. I've seen defenses bat the ball away and have it land in the arms of a receiver too. Then you would say "he should have batted the ball in the other direction". The Packers are NOT the only team that got screwed so far this season. I hate the Vikings and I see them get screwed with timeouts against the 49er's. I've seen so many missed calls, bad calls, confusion, etc. We all have. The Packers just happen to be involved in a game that was on national TV, no other games going on, and the blown call happened with 0:00 time on the clock, it was an obvious blown call, they went to review and STILL got the call wrong, and it changed the outcome from victory to defeat. The final minutes of that game basically summarized how bad these officials are, how greedy the NFL is, what a stubborn dope Roger Goodell is and frustrated the fans...not because they like the Packers, hate the Seahawks or vice versa, but because they know it could happen to their team any game. That's my thoughts....say I'm biased or whatever but I would feel the same way if it were another team.
  2. I agree that the Seahawks got ripped in the Super Bowl but that has absolutely nothing to do with this NFL season and what happened last night. There's nothing "good for them", or anyone when shit like last night happens. It was embarrassing for the league, frustrating for the fans and terrible for the players and coaches (on both sides...the Packers feel robbed of the hard work and some of the Seahawks look like fools, in particular Pete "that was a good call" Carol and Golden "oh yeah, I caught the ball" Tate. There is a HUGE difference between the typical calls we would see out of the normal refs and these buffoons. The debacle we call officiating that has gone on this year in the NFL reached the pinnacle last night.
  3. Fuck the NFL replacement refs.
  4. Nasty Idols - Kalifornia Cyanide 4 - Every Day Is A Masquerade
  5. Kalifornia arrived in the mail today along with the new Cyanide 4. The Nasty Idols is good, a grower though, the more you spin it the more you find what you like. I picked mine up from BlowItOuttaHere.com for $9 each.
  6. I've been buying those from Best Buy here in the US for quite awhile...they look pretty much the same and are sorta cool looking.
  7. eh, too much sleaze, hard rock, melodic rock, etc. out there waiting for my ears so I do not waste time with this stuff. Video was fun I guess but the song makes me cringe.
  8. Agreed. I do not have kids but I have guns. I grew up in a household of hunters and uncles, cousins, that had guns. My dad let me shoot 22 rifle, 22 pistol, 20 gauge shotgun, 12 gauge shotgun, crossbow, recurv, compound bow, etc. The only gun he didn't let me get near was some fancy revolver with an engraving on it (I don't know why this gun was so special or why I could not learn it). Guess which gun I was always wanting to get my hands on and would look to see if it was unlocked though I knew nothing about using it? The revolver. Yeah, educate, safety, eliminate curiosity with learning.
  9. Awesome John, congrats to you and the band, can't wait to crank it up! \m/

  11. Why not leave well enough alone....if there is a single dollar to be made someone will try to make it.
  12. From a used shop: Motley Crue - Misunderstood cd single (has an 11 minute extended "holiday" version of Hooligan's Holiday I wanted to check out) and an unreleased demo, Hypnotized. Lynch Mob - Revolution Live! (Deluxe 500 in a box with a pin)
  13. They are gonna reissue this one, deluxe edition? I love this release but I don't see any bonus material so what is the point? http://www.sleazeroxx.com/news/01498.shtml
  14. Flat tire...I think that would have made a cool album cover or pic inside the booklet...the band sitting around outside the broken down van.
  15. How are the shows doing for attendance? Enough so that a tour in the US would be in the future?
  16. Interested in hearing your opinion of this one. I have not heard it yet.
  17. Easy, GnR. Ah, they are all great. If GnR wasn't in this list then it would be super difficult but in my opinion, Appetite is one of the best if not THE best release of that time/genre. Sure, the hits are overplayed on the radio but if you can put that aside this release was influential, top selling, controversial for its time, the videos (how many of you can picture a young Axl getting off that bus in the beginnig of Jungle)....GnR was everywhere. Appetite was so brilliant that many thought (and still think) that the Illusions releases suck when in fact they are pretty damn awesome themselves....but compared to Appetite...just shows how great it was.
  18. I'm a little late to the party here, but I'll second what Jez says exactly...Some good tracks, filler, not great, but ok.
  19. http://www.crashdiet.org/ It says if you pre-order before between August 10 - October 31, save 50%. I have not figured where to see the discount yet as I am testing the Checkout process but hopefully I can figure that out. We offer four price levels - same CD, different price : Low - Our ideal album price Mid - Support the band with what you've got High - Get your name printed in the booklet Overkill - Get your name tattooed on london's ass The first 300 copies sold will be personally signed (regardless which option you choose). We will run this campaign until the 31st of October.
