  1. Faster Pussycat opening for Motley Crue on the Dr. Feelgood tour. Suppose that was 1989. La Crosse Civic Center, La Crosse, WI. I would have been 16 years old. A few of the things I remember from that show: 1. General admission on the main floor. 2. I held onto the railing that kept the crowd from Security and the stage...roughly at center stage. At times I was getting pulled away from the railing and other times I was getting my ribs crushed by the railing. 3. The eb and flow of the crowd was amazing. I'm not sure my feet touched the floor once we were rockin'. Everyone was just stepping on everyones ankles and legs. 4. That suffocating, thick air. If you could get your head up high enough you could catch a breath of "fresh air". 5. Some girl passing out and almost going under. We pulled her up and everyone body surfed her to the right. 6. Tommy Lee's drum solo in the cage that went up to the ceiling and spun him upside down and every which way. Cool. 7. Some girl sticking her hand up my shirt from behind and diggin' her claws into my upper chest to hold on. At first, cool, after a few minutes, not so much. 8. Still having both "high tops" in the end. Though it was my first concert, I knew enough to tie plenty of knots to keep my shoes on. At the end all but the last few knots had pulled through. 9. Not having enough coin to buy a concert shirt. Must have been around $15 back then if I recall? Good times...
  2. The dubs done by the user Jaboo0oody are the ones to watch. He has a bunch of them out there. If you haven't seen them already here are a few of my favorites: Kaboom Baby! Mighty Putty Neverscrubber
  3. You can download songs from the Parlor Trixx website. http://www.parlortrixx.com/Multimedia.htm
  4. Did anyone notice the Shy - Let The Hammer Fall on Ebay today for $174.99? No bids as of my post. I'm not sure how the HH Ebay average prices are calculated...on final sale or list price or some average of those, but I thought that the HH average price of ~$12 would go up considerably if someone actually bids on this CD. Which, by the way, I'm watching just out of curiosity. My dad and I like the old cars...Mopars in particular. My dad has a '69 Super Bee. He always talks about ordering his first Bee in 1968 and having it delivered for around $3,000. Now some of those cars go for hundreds of thousands. I'm rambling...bored or whatever...you all know this stuff but it's fun/interesting to think about that stuff and this cd price "got me thinking".
  5. Thanks for the feedback so far...and based on what's been said I think I'll be fine grabbing a remaster of this cd. I agree about the poor production of Misspent Youth, but despite that I really liked it. Never Trust A Stranger and Love On The Line (which is probably the worst as production goes) are my favorites.
  6. I've been thinking about getting the Shy - Excess All Areas. I never see the original up on Ebay. So how is the remaster, good quality or did they just turn up the volume? How are the bonus tracks?
  7. Got some errands to run...so today I will grab Hanoi Rocks, Two Steps From The Move.
  8. Hey Metal T, the only Walkman I have left is the cassette. Which by the way I am still trying to rebuild the cd's of all the music I had on cassette years ago when I traded my whole collection in at a music shop in downtown Eau Claire, WI....it will be never ending I'm sure. Anyway, I did try it in another computer and I think you're right, just a glitch on this CD. Hey Nelson, I agree, still a good find for $2. I ended up using an MP3 trimmer to cut the extra Nine Lives portion off of Fastest Gun In Town and then ended up buying the Nine Lives MP3 online.
  9. Oh yeah, but then again I didn't go past the first couple of pages of results. After some searching I figured it was just a little too obscure so I thought I would try here. I even went to the Shark Island home page figuring maybe I could be so bold as to shoot the site admin an email and see if they might actually answer....but I didn't see a contact section on website. Oh well...
  10. There is a pawn shop between where I work and my parking ramp. I stop in there every now and then to see what I can find. They only have a couple of racks of cd's but all cd's are just $2. In the past I found Dokken's One Live Night, a Savatage cd and others. Anyway, a few weeks ago I found an absolute mint, orginal release of Roxx Gang, Things You've Never Done Before. I was pleased. After spinning this disc many times, I realized that something wasn't quite right with Track 8 and Track 9, which are 8-Fastest Gun In Town and 9-Nine Lives. Fastest Gun In Town is a minute too long because it contains the first minute of Nine Lives. Then Nine Lives starts 1 minute into the song. It's like when they made the CD they put the marker for the next track in the wrong spot. It plays this way in my computer, car, cd player. Not a big deal, but I was curious if any of you who have this cd (original release), if your copy does the same thing?
  11. Thanks for line 3! Now I hope someone can come up with the other part otherwise you will have burned a bad image in my mind for this song forever.
  12. Hey all, I'm pretty new the board as you can see. Not sure if I am supposed to introduce myself before posting but if so, I guess I broke that rule already. So I had a question for the masses. On Shark Island's "Law Of The Order" cd I am sure a lot of you are familar with the song Somebody's Falling. They were kind enough to include the lyrics, BUT this song has an intro to which the lyrics are not written. Here is what I can and cannot (?) understand: Time to move her body's shakin' As the cold cold sweat begins to pour ?????????????? feeling A drug to potent to ignore Just you wait and see She ????????????????? Love will turn the key, c'mon So the question is obvious by now, what are they saying? And of course correct me if I have the other parts wrong. Thanks and look forward to browsing the board now and then.
