  2. I'm dying here. Actually, after a weekend in Vegas, I should probably save up some coin before I start spending again.
  3. A perfect song IMO. Yep. I remember being 10, sitting on my bedroom floor playing with Lego blocks and singing along to this song. I didn't understand--couldn't understand, really--what it was about, but I knew I loved it.
  4. But he's awesome, so it's okay. In my opinion, he's not in enough.
  5. Definitely sounds like it's been worth the wait, but I can't wait any longer. I want it, now!

  7. Heh, heh! Have I expressed how much I love this thread? Just brilliant.
  8. Just burned through: Ratt - Invasion of Your Privacy Ratt - Dancing Undercover Now on: Disciple - Horseshoes & Handgrenades I've got a lot to get through...
  9. Yeah, I was gonna say something, but being Canadian, I wasn't sure if it would come across the wrong way. Like I've told some people, already, the song is musically insane, but lyrically lame.
  10. Heh, heh. You guys are pathetic, but I love it. It makes for a good read!
  11. Yeah that was what I was thinking, but the 'advantages' just seem to be things that I have either never done (never re-tagged and never had to??) or will never need to do.....like adding artwork to an MP3 player?? It spends all day in my pocket - as long as the song/album shows up that's all that bothers me. Maybe Im just a simple man......... Yep. Use whatever works for you. Those things that aren't important to you are to me, and I like what I'm hearing with regards to the simplicity of updating the information on my iPod/iPhone.
  12. Brazil (1985) Terry Gilliam film loosely based on George Orwell's "1984." Very weird. Very Terry Gilliam. It wasn't what I was expecting, but, then, I didn't know what to expect. I'd say it's well worth a watch.
  13. I've never heard of MediaMonkey. I'll have to give it a try, if it's even half as good as you boys are suggesting.
  14. I use iTunes. Definitely not the best, but it's convenient, considering I have an iPod and iPhone. I use Windows Media Player to rip my CDs because it atomatically organizes them in nice, clean, easy to acess folders.
  15. Hey ladies! I'm heading to Vegas in a few minutes for my friend's surprise stag. We woke him up this morning, dressed him up like a princess, gave him some nice little wings, too, and now we're heading for a weekend of silliness in the city of sin. See ya on Tuesday. Peace Nolan
  16. Just arrived: Jynx - Heads or Tails Saxon - Power and the Glory Shocktapuss - Meat Deacon Thanks a lot, MButt!! Atomic Opera - Gospel Cola The Box - Black Dog There Galactic Cowboys - Machine Fish From musicosm. Is that one of you boys? I can't remember. If it is, thanks!
  17. That must be nice. After the recent crash our dollar has just dropped. Our CAD had been stronger than the USD, which made online shopping a lot less stressful, but now it's below, again. Oh, well, I assume it will climb back up. At least it'll always be stronger than your Aussie dollar.
  18. I understood what you were getting at, I was just adding my two cents. Although, now I should be saving my cents in anticipation for this album!
  19. Yeah, but me and TIM haven't heard it yet! Indeed. If I see someone who's opinion I value (I'll be honest, it's really just my own!) rave about an album then I'd snap it up, but these days you get so much hype over so little... Am open-minded though, so even though the debut bored me senseless I'll give this one a chance... I will definitely check this out but I won't buy based on any reviews... IMO, most of the AOR review-sites out there are totally unreliable and they will give top score to just about any AOR release, now matter how mediocre it is. I mean, if we should trust a site like Melodic Rock.com then about 90% of all AOR releases today are at least "very good"... That's why one needs to find samples and get a feel for the album. And if samples are not available, maybe download the album before buying it. Is it really only Geoff and I that use this method?
  20. Huh?? I haven't commented anywhere in this thread Adriano; what exactly are you referring to? Congratulations, Mike, you are officially the first innocent casualty in this little war. How's it feel to be collateral damage? Innocent? Dammit, I blame him for it all!
  21. C'mon, really? Aerosmith's fault? One band can not possibly be the cause of all this. As Andrew said on MelodicRockDOTCOM, I call bullshit. It most likely has to do with ticket sales, and it seems to be a recurring problem (even in the inde rock scene). I know there's a lot of money involved, but aren't there a lot of risks in planning festivals like these? And shouldn't they know of these risks? And shouldn't they honour the fans that did buy tickets and are anticipating a show? It's not the ticket-holder's fault for shitty promotion. Again, I don't know much but I'd be amazed if it had anything to do with ticket sales. These festivals sell like nude photos of me down here. In fact, more often than not half of the shows (Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne) are sold out months prior to their date. But according to Andrew, ticket sales were well below expectation.
  22. Oh, yeah. Two fantastic tracks. I still need to pick up that 7th Heaven disc. How is their Jukebox release(s)?
