  1. Dammit, Geoff, you sure like to talk. Don't you? Uh, yeah... See, this is where I agree with both of you. Most of my purchases are based off recommendations, so I actually appreciate all the work Geoff does. Believe it, or not--Geoff probably won't--I do trust Geoff's musical taste, for the most part. So, keep on spending your money, Geoff-baby.
  2. Are you guys being a bunch of cocks, or do you really not know who's who?
  3. am a fan of Bruce Willis, so overall, how's the plot of that movie dude? interesting to look for a Bluray rip if it's really watchable Yeah mate, it's watchable. Plot is no better or worse than the 89 billion other mystery movies or shows that are out there. Instead of a detective investigating a murder it's a high school kid who is a reporter in the high school paper investigating the theft of a bunch of SAT papers. But it's better than it sounds on paper. It's done well enough and is watchable. Willis' role as the Principal is a supporting role, but if you're a fan you'll enjoy his contribution. I thought I recalled some pretty funny moments in this one. It's been a few years.
  4. Hoo, boy!! I hadn't checked the artist list for the past few weeks; Black N Blue, Lynch Mob, XYZ, and Y&T were just added! Damn! You boys and girls need to be there.
  5. Even some young punk with no knowledge--me--still managed to ace it. I'd actually like something challenging to see what I know.
  6. It's official. I just booked it. My two brothers and a buddy will on the boat that rocked from February 25-28. I can't wait. Any of you going?
  7. Captain America Excellent! This film kicked ass. My buddy and I agreed that Red Skull is probably the most badass villian since Darth Vader. The days of shitty comic book adaptations may be over. Let us hope. Anyway, go see this film, but I'm told not to see it in 3D.
  8. Welcome to the asylum. Grab a beer, nachos are on the right, and pants are optional.

  10. I s'pose I should finish--or, at least continue--what I've started. Passion Pit Anyone heard of these guys? Passion Pit are an electropop group from Cambridge, Massachusetts. I know what you're thinking right about now, "What the f**k is 'electropop?'" Or maybe you're thinking, "Why the f**k is this Karpet guy still hanging around? Why won't he just take a hint, and leave?" Actually, I have no idea what you may be thinking, but if it happens to be along the lines of the former, don't be alarmed. Electropop is a modern take on synthpop which can be traced back to the 60's. Coincidentally--perhaps not--there's something about them that reminds me of the pop/rock movement of the 1960's. These guys have a great sound. Hell, even my dad loves them. He calls them the Screaming Chickens. Their first release was in 2008 in the form of an EP. The six tracks that made up "Chunk of Change," although a little raw, were a great idea of what was to come. I s'pose that's what EPs usually are. The following May they released their debut full-length title: "Manners." This album has been in constant rotation for over two years now. It's easily one of my favourite titles. It makes for excellent summertime music. Here's their website: http://www.passionpitmusic.com/ Here are some of my personal favourites: From the "Chunk of Change EP": I've Got Your Number (some weird-ass fan-made video) Cuddle Fuddle From "Manners": Moth's Wings The Reeling Swimming in the Flood (My favourite track!) Seaweed Song Enjoy!
  11. Widda's back! Where ya been sweetie? Must be recovering from all the B-day partying!
  12. Damn! Those sure are some jizz-worthy keys!
  13. Just arrived: Seductive Luck - Can't Be Tamed Based on Geoff's recommendation. Commence gloating.
  14. I hate you guys. I really do.
  15. Damn! They're playing in Vancouver on the day I leave for Vegas.
  16. Ehh, not for me. Poor songwriting.
  17. Country music was part of my up-bringing. I listened to it in the mid nineties. I don't care for most of the new stuff, and, although I don't actively listen to it, I still appreciate some of the old boys: Alabama, Brooks & Dunn, Paul Brandt, and a few more.
  18. Great band! Start out with the ep and work your way up as each one changes. I had the ep on Ebay a while back (an extra copy) for one cent and it did not sell. You can get it cheap. You mind posting it again?...
  19. Mastedon - 3 Mr. Big - What If... Needtobreathe - Daylight The Poodles - Performocracy Whitesnake - Forevermore
  20. What's a bebut? Is it anything like a debut? If so, what are the differences? Anyway, on topic, I think I recall enjoying the bebut so I'll give the new one a listen.
  21. I've never given these guys a chance. Maybe I should.
  22. They should reunite as Fuck Sony and release an album called "They're Cunts!"
