  1. It's a brand new dorm. No one's on campus. Oh, yeah, it's summer over here, Geoff. School's out.
  2. It's getting ridiculous. Is there a thread on here about how to spot boots? I mean, I still consider myself a rookie, and I'd like to learn as much as I can.
  3. So, I'm working on this new college dorm. I'm a mason--not 'free' but we're reasonable. The current site supervisor is a total muppet. A few times now he's walked up, unplugged my stereo, and left. He doesn't say a word. He just unplugs it and leaves. It pisses me off so much. It's extremely rude, but I don't wanna say anything because he's the site super' and I'll be on this site until September. I keep my stereo at a reasonable level--I usually can't even hear it over everything else--and I've been given permission to use it be the site safety guy. But this asshole just walks up, unplugs it, and leaves. If he's got a problem with it--obviously he does--he could at least say something to me. Because he hasn't, I just turn it back on when he's gone. Until he actually says anything, he can go eat a sack of old man dicks.
  4. Oh, snap! I never thought I'd ever get a chance to meet the infamous JustJason.
  5. Well, you should at least come out for the big nude launch party. A good time will be had by all, regardless of one's opinion of the music.
  6. Hell, I never make lists. They're too much work. And, I'm a wrong to suggest some of my favourite releases were from the late 80s to the mid 90s?
  7. It's been KIX's "Bump the La La" all week!
  8. Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up taking a nice drive through the beautiful farm land. What an experience to have the windows down, the warm summer air breezing on by as I speed my car through the winding roads, and the beauty of the spectacular landscape amplified as the evening sun struck upon the rolling hillside. All the while, I had Think Out Loud blaring through my blown car stereo. Should I not awake from this sleep, I shall be at peace.
  9. "Hot Night in the City." Is that the title for the new Coastline album? It's a gorgeous day here in western B.C., too. I think I'm gonna have to take you up on that suggestion. I don't have much Westcoast--just Think Out Loud and West of Sunset--but I might go for an evening drive with the windows down and the tunes turned up!
  10. Yep, it's pretty much shit, now. At least you had the privilege to experience it in its glory. I never had that chance.
  11. I wasn't expecting that solo. I know you said it was there, but I wasn't anticipating such ferocity. Damn. This has got me pumped.
  12. Good luck getting a photo or autograph. I just saw them and they weren't very friendly or open to those types of things. But they did rock live. Well, they'll be stuck on a boat with me for four days... so we'll see.
  13. Heh, you're a good lad. I'm also thinking of getting a T-shirt made. Maybe I can get a photo with 'em.
  14. Oh, shit! That's a great idea! I'm gonna have to do that when I see them in February, if I remember.
  15. I agree! I wanna go to Pat's Dogs now! ROAD TRIP! I wonder if the Cinderella guys worked there before they got signed. Imagine walkin' up to the order window and seeing Eric Brittingham, his blonde mane barely contained by a hair net, behind the counter whippin' up a mess of curly fries. Oh, dear me. That would be uncredible!
  16. Heh, yeah, I downloaded it a couple hours ago, and I'm almost through it for the first time. It's pretty good. I'm gonna have to give it a few more listens before I can begin to hear the intricacies--should they exist. I never feel guilty for downloading, because, like Geoff, I always plan to buy what I like. Also, I know it isn't illegal in Canada, so maybe you should check with your country to find out if you've been fretting over nothing.
  17. Hey, I don't think I've asked this before. I did a search and found nothing. I just wanna know if the latest issues of Mariah, and Somewhere Between Heaven & Earth have been remastered again? I know they've been "Repacked with new art and bonus audio!!" but have they managed to improve the sound quality? Maybe one of you boys from Retrospect would be the best to answer. I had a CDr of Mariah six years ago, and once I got the Retrospect release I noticed an improvement, and also many of the songs were extended. It would be great if they managed to improve it a bit more. Their first album played a big role in getting me hooked on the softer sound of Melodic Rock and AOR. I'm probably gonna have to pick the new versions just for the two extra tracks.
  18. This is my greatest concern towards covers. I know what the original sounds like. Why do I wanna hear you sing it, if you're not gonna alter it? One of the best covers I've heard is Steelheart's latest offering. Their cover of Led Zepplin's "Black Dog." As for albums, I generally cringe at the announcement of an entire album of covers. I thought Stryper did well, and I liked what Def Leppard did with some of the tracks, but I'd rather an artist release new original material, or non at all. I still haven't heard Tesla's two efforts, which is surprising, considering they're one of my favourite bands.
  19. Don't really care for that new 302. Maybe it's just the angle. My favourite muscle car is the '72 Olds 442.
  20. Wow, so refreshing. I've heard every album, and never loved any of them. Sure, there are a few killer tracks, but far too much filler. I've always kept to myself about the matter, but it's nice to know someone else shares my view. Even if that 'someone' is Geoff.
  21. Yeah, I placed a bid. You bastards keep away!!
  22. Apart from getting people hooked on the music I love, I love pissing people off with the music I love! I'm such a bastard, but I'm okay with it.
  23. What is that? Motley Crue etched in the side of a Glock? Yeah, He is mo' gangsta than me.
