  1. This thread should be called Sucker for a Pretty Boot. 117 quid with nine hours to go? Shit.
  2. don't know what is considered under the radar, but the releases by the pact, masquerade, fire with fire, saker, and lickity split are all of note! Yeah, I went for The Pact as well as CDs by Crash Alley, Cuttlass, Lynzee and Electric Eels. I got a message saying the Jillson CD would be out in a couple of weeks. That was a couple of weeks ago, so should be any day now. I picked up a dozen. I had heard about half of the albums already so I knew what I was getting on some of them. Fire With Fire was one I hadn't heard but really enjoy it. Saker is another good one along w/Electric Eels and DC Star. If you like AOR the Cinema disc is a good one as well. Oh, yeah, that Cinema disc sounds amazing. I put that on my list. Hopefully I can wrap up my "wants", and put an order in tonight.
  3. Doh! I can never get used to iTunes but I think I am in the minority. Nope, you're not alone. I use iTunes to play my tracks, because I use iPods and an iPhone. But I rip via Windows Media, because I like that it puts everything in their respective folders.
  4. Oh, shit, I almost missed out on this! I'll put in an order either tonight or tomorrow. Damn! Those Jillson bonus tracks sound good! I thought the physical release should've happened by now. Also, Alliance sounds fantastic as well.
  5. Is it possible to catch a recording somewhere? I'd like to check it out, but it airs too early.
  6. Yeah, I think we need to be careful about making comparisons to Double Eclipse. Many of us, myself included, might take that too far, and wind up a little dissapointed. I'm looking forward to this album. Samples sound fantastic, but it definitely doesn't sound like Double Eclipse II.
  7. I am unbelievably skeptical, yet justly so, about any semi-rare album on eGay. Up until now, I've had no dealings with Azintex, but I'm beginning to realize I may never own a legit copy of the albums I'm looking for, at a realistic price. I think I'm gonna start picking up a few titles from Azintex, because I'd rather pay a small fee for a good quality bootleg, and know it's a bootleg, then get caught in a bid war for something I can't be sure about. There's an ironic peace of mind about it.
  8. Arrrrgghh! Prepare to be boarded matey! Let's just hope the reviews aren't: Ugggghh. Prepare to be bored, mates.
  9. I'm liking the samples. The funny, sad, annoying... thing is each sample opened up in my iTunes, and after each one had finished it continued straight into "Life's a Bitch." As good as they may be, they will never be Double Eclipse.
  10. Nolan, did you see Rob jam with George on the MORC as well play with Lynch Mob? I saw half of the All-Star show, but missed the Lynch Mob performance.
  11. Either will be fine by me... Love both. I totally agree about Leaving the End Open. I love that album, but who doesn't wish they'd return to the sound of Double Eclipse?
  12. Can you post a link to said sample? Or even give as a hint to what it sounds like: Double Eclipse, or Leaving the End Open?
  13. That sounds about the best song too... I haven't listened to any of those tracks, yet, but I want this to be the best album of the year so bad that I'm expecting it to fail my expectations.
  14. Shit, almost as many translations as the bible.
  15. could be the catchiest track this year Just for once today, I'm going to agree with you. Do my eyes deceive me? Did Tim really say what I think he said? Shit, I'ma mark this day in my calender. Here's an entry in my diary I'll cherish forever. I was talking to Glen. As you were. Don't fuck with my emotions.

  17. So... This album pretty much kicks senseless amounts of copious ass! I can't stop playing "Need Her." It's definitely my favourite track at the moment.
  18. Cinderella - Bad Seamstress Blues/Fallin' Apart at the Seams (One of my favourite tracks!) Electric Boys - All Lips N Hips (Opens with sitar) Extreme - Little Girls (No acoustic, but harmonica) Extreme - Smoke Signals (Another all time favourite song) Let me know if any of these were what you were looking for.
  19. We wish him luck, if he wants contact details for other staions give me a shout. Cool. I should give this a listen. Take some notes. I might have a shot at a radio DJ gig, myself.
  20. Umm... I do my best not give away any possible spoilers, and then you post. Heh. I really have no idea where they might take this series. What I really want to know is how do you inevitably end a series like this?
  21. I know, right? The entire second half of this season I kept thinking, "where the hell is Theo?" To answer some previous questions: Shane was killed much earlier. Back when they were sill at camp just outside the city, Rick and Shane had an altercation in the woods. Shane put a rifle to Rick's chest, and Carl, who had followed them, shot Shane through the neck. Later on they find a prison--the one at the end of the finale--and try to make it their "home." Two characters not in the TV series, commit suuicide, and that's when we first learn that everyone carries the virus and it's activated once the brain is dead. Upon learning this, Rick gets on the hog and rides back to the old camp site to find Shane, and kill him again. I have to say I'm really enjoying the show. If you read the books you'll realize that the show moves at the same pace, if not a little quicker. I also like that the show deviates from the book, and my only complaint is that Shane didn't die much much sooner. Couldn't stand him. He's done a good job of splitting up the group, and I can see there will be a lot of drama in the next season. There is a lot of shit they have to work through, which won't happen until they stop keeping things from eachother. Oh, and I'm stoked that they brought in the woman with the katanas and zombie "pets." I won't say anymore about her.
  22. I've never been able to decide on what I'd want. I always tell myself, it has to mean something important to me, yet I saw a guy with an elephant lumbering through a jungle on his calf, and I wanted the same thing. Because of this indecision, I doubt I'll ever get one. The idea of a tattoo is simply not important enough to me. My brother's got a few, and has admitted he's addicted. However, what he does, and I would recommend, is he hangs up an actual size picture of what he wants on a wall where he'll see it everyday, and leaves it there for a year. If he still likes it, he gets it.
  23. Yeah! Subscriber number 3!! I haven't listened to anything yet, but when I have the time, I will.
