  1. Yeah I'll check this one out, Club 299 in Brisbane is the biggest EMO club ever, think I'll see it at the Princess Theatre or Sunshine Coast instead.
  2. Great stuff! I especially like the track 'Alive'.
  3. Nah, mine came to AUD $24.95 Poor bastard. Mine came too. Holy shit mate, what a package! If I lose my house from buying too many CDs I can live in the packaging for this CD! They must be the richest most popular band in Thailand to afford a package like that. Amazing. Yeah I got home yesterday and saw this box the size of a shoe box siting on the table, then in the contents it says "contains 1 CD". Those people that hate digipacks because they can't put them in a normal CD rack would really hate this.
  4. My copy of Silly Fools - The One Ltd. Ed. arrived today. A very nice package for the price. Haven't played it yet but looking forward to hearing all these songs again.
  5. Apparantly John Waite was interviewed recently with some details regarding his next solo album. This is the website that did the interview but I can't see alink anywhere. Interview. Does anyone know any other websites where this interview can be read/listened to? EDIT: I figured it out. I you go to the above link you can listen to the interview. I had to run some kind of "add-on" for it to play. So I listened to the interview and he gave very little (in fact nothing) away about his new album except to say he would start recording later this year. Interestingly though he said that the 'When You Were Mine' album has been released on I-tunes with bonus tracks. Being the huge John Waite fan I am, I'll have to track down those bonus tracks.
  6. I guess that's why we are discussing this in the Aor/hard rock forum and not the Sleaze forum. Oh thanks for pointing that out. Very helpful.
  7. Mine is a 2007 re-issue on Membran Music label - cat # 231550. Very flimsy inserts with only minimal details provided ie no photos, bio, lyrics etc. Still it's good to have it on CD, better than nothing. If Rock Candy or someone released it I'd upgrade for sure as it's quite a good album. In fact it's this album I was listening to when I signed up to become a member of the HH's forums hence the user name.
  8. I've just heard all 11 track previews from the new album (as posted by Dan on the main site) and I have to say that I'm really really looking forward to geting this album. The songs are all very modern sounding, catchy, and they are certainly more in the melodic/AOR vein than I expected. Great stuff! Anyone who was hoping for a glam/sleaze effort will be disappointed.
  9. This one will be reissued by Yesterrock AND Rock Candy ?? What sense does that make ? Very confusing ........ ! Hmm yeah I'm confused, this makes no sense. I can't imagine there will be two separate re-issues of Witness - S/T in the same year. If it comes down to it, I'd probably lean toward the Rock Candy version for the sake of bonus tracks but having said that I was very impressed with my last Yesterrock CD which was Clif Magness - Solo.
  10. I for some reason have the CD Basia - Time And Tide...It now sits in my trade rack along side Andrew W.K. - The Wolf
  11. Cool, I haven't heard this band before, I'll have to check out more. That 'Home Again' tune is really catchy.
  12. Clearly your wife's friend hasn't been to many concerts. That's like saying you can't go and watch a footy match wearing the colours of your home team.
  13. Bloody hell, what a load of crap! Edguy better do some other dates, hopefully with Black Majesty as the Aussie support, and Sonata Arctica as well... that would be an awesome gig. See you there Justin!? Yeah, I'm going to keep my eye on the Edguy website, hopeful that they do announce some of their own dates. I really don't want to have to go to Screamfest to see them. I don't think they really fit into an extreme metal festival.
  14. That's a Billy Ocean song right?
  15. Screamfest, a 2 day festival with 20 bands due to take place at the Enmore Theatre on New Year's Eve '09 and New Year's Day '10. Bands set to appear include Cynic, Dark Funeral, Destruction, Destroyer 666, Edguy, Ensiferum, Rotting Christ, Sonata Arctica, Spawn Of Possession, Darker Half, Synperium, Eye of the Enemy, Black Majesty, The Amenta, Universum, Killrazer and more! To be honest I've not heard of most of the bands playing and I'm guessing that I wouldn't like them much either. But if this is my only chance to see Edguy live again, I'm there. Last time I saw them was on the Hellfire Downunder tour and it was without a doubt one of the best shows I've ever seen to this day. Of the other bands I'd probably want to see Sonata Arctica but appart from that I'm not sure. I'm really hoping Edguy announce some of their own tour dates in other Australian cities or at least Melbourne.
  16. Can anyone recommend a starting point for this band...which album should I track down first. I'm thinking 'Sea Of Faces' might be the best one based on several comments.
  17. I heard a song by these guys on the radio last night...absolutely brilliant song but I wasn't able to catch the name or anything. It was a ballad but I can't even remember the lyrics now. Maybe I should check these guys out.
  18. Sweet!!!! Even better than the Candy Harlots news! Obviously I'd much rather see the original line-up but I was pretty damn impressed by the Thickskin album and so really looking forward to this. I wonder who's supporting?
  19. Cool, thanks for the update! I'll pick one up. are there discounts for multiple cd's? Yeah they have a discount special on ATM up to 20% off depending on the cost of your order. Small orders get a much smaller discount. Holy shit. Really? What else would you buy from there, though? Shit, I wish I'd looked at the other Silly Fools English EP. My thoughts exactly - what else would I want to buy from an on-line Thai record store? Probably not much. a bride?
