  1. Yeah that is pretty bad, what were they thinking?
  2. Mate I've found an on-line CD store, based here in Sydney, Australia with some LRB CD's for sale. From your list they have: After Hours Diamantina Cocktail Monsoon To me they seem a bit expensive but I've no idea what sorta $'s they normally sell for. Red Eye Records
  3. For those who haven't heard this band, check out the following full length songs, there's some very nice stuff here... From the self titled debut album (1995): Waiting These tracks are from the follow up album, Strange Behaviour (1996): Living In Another World Without You Born To The Sun No More Goodbyes Strange Behaviour Fallen Angel Rock This Place
  4. Does anyone know anything much about these Aussie bands from the 80's, are they worth checking out? I've seen them all referred to as AOR bands and some stage. Can anyone tell me if these albums have ever been released on CD? Dear Enemy - Ransom Note Avion - S/T Real Life - Heart Land The Pony - Thorns And Cutlery
  5. Geoff I think you've found yourself a pretty rare CD hare. I did a pretty thorough search and all I could find was two references to this being in two different peoples CD collections. Nothing to be found about the band members. BTW does anyone know who Burin Desire is? You can always count on any CD being in his collection. It seems everytime I do a search for info about a really rare CD I don't get any results other than Burnin Desires CD collection. I'm jealous!
  6. Never heard of this one. I saw you mention it in a thread yesterday and was going to ask what they sound like. Very keen to hear this, even more so now that I know it's not a female singer.
  7. Ok I've decided not to bother with this one...very very disappointing...not what I was hoping for from Lou Gramm at all. And yeah the Christian theme is just way too strong for me.
  8. Finally got to hearing some of the samples. Wow! This is definately gonna be a favourite this year, I'm really looking forward to this release.
  9. Lou Gramm Band - S/T Released June 5 2009 on Frontiers Records Has anyone had the chance to hear this album yet? What do you think? So far I've only heard the samples and have to say that despite a few good sounding tracks in the first half of the album I was a bit disappointed with what I heard on the second half. I'll have to wait until the CD arrives to make a proper comment though. Interestingly there seems to be a bit of a Christian theme to some of the songs. Being a huge fan of Lou Gramm's previous solo albums and of course his work with Foreigner, I have been eagerly anticipating this album for a few years now and I really hope it doesn't disappoint, though my initial impression tells me that it will. Track Listing: Baptized By Fire Made To Be Broken Willing To Forgive That's The Way God Planned It (I Just Wanna) Testify So Great Redeemer Single Vision Rattle Yer Bones You Saved Me It's Not Too Late (Exclusive Bonus Track for Europe) Line-Up: Lou Gramm: vocals Ben Gramm: drums Richard Gramm: bass Andy Knoll: keyboards Don Mancuso: guitars
  10. I think they look horrible on women, turns me right off. Even the small, hidden tats turn me off. As for piercings - even worse. I hate nothing more than a pretty girl who has a stupid piece of metal in their nose, chin, tongue, nipple or where ever else. Yuk!!!
  11. Hmmm, I still think this is a decent EP, nice enough songs, just lacking in production. In all honesty I don't mind the vocals. It sure aint gonna blow anyone away and yes there are definately tons of better sounding bands out there at the moment, but I can definately hear potential and would be very interested in hearing a well produced full length album from these guys. Good on them I say...not a bad effort. 7/10 from me.
  12. If you like Sharon's aor stuff please get your hands on STEPHANIE HOWELL - FACING THE FIRE, produced by the guys from 1927 Where can I get that Staphanie Howell CD from? Not a single copy on E-Bay. Is it hard to find in Aus?
  13. Great news! Looking forward to this one. The only Cheap Trick album I still haven't managed to get hold of is 'Standing On The Edge'. It seems to sell for a bit more than the others.
  14. Hurricane Eyes and then Soldier Of Fortune. Haven't heard a lot from these guys though.
  15. Sharon has over 12 albums, so as you can expect her style of music changes some depending on which era you are listening to. In my opinion the two albums of hers to check out are Danced In The Fire (1987) and Edge Of Winter (1990). Maybe a bit too pop at times but definately some great female AOR moments as well. Edge Of Winter is very difficult to find on CD and usually sells for a high price. Danced In The Fire Edge Of Winter
  16. Yeah agreed the Liberty and Justice CD's are a very mixed affair, some great tracks some not so great tracks. Definately keen to hear the Hess/Lesperance track though! And yes that upcoming MR5CD looks awesome, really keen to get a copy of that one. I haven't purchased any of those compilations in the past but now really wish I had.
  17. Geoff, where can I buy this??
  18. Impressive! How many Bon Jovi CD's would you have all up?
  19. Cool, I've been wanting to hear this one...it's from 1983 or sometime around then isn't it?
  20. I'm sorry but Copperhead Road is one of my most hated songs ever...really just can't stand it.
  21. 38 Special...mainly the albums 'Tour De Force', 'Strength In Numbers' and 'Rock N Roll Strategy'.
  22. Man you must have been quick. I saw they sold out in something like 4 minutes or something. Yeah by the time I got on the net to buy them (12 hours after they went on sale), the only show I could get 2 standing tix for was the final Sydney show. Brisbane only had a few single seats left so I would've had to go alone and sit by myself. I'm happy to travel to sydney for it. Might just take the week off work and have a bit of holiday down there.
  23. Well I got my ACDC tix - going to the Sydney show, standing area. Yay!
  24. So is anyone going to see ACDC in Australia? Tickets are on sale this morning. I'm keen. $149 for reserve standing, $99 for cheap seats. Here's a question - suppose this was ACDC's last tour of Australia, would this make you go and do you think that Sydney or Melbourne would be the more sentimental show given the band was formed in Sydney but has such a strong history in Melbourne.
