  1. Agreed, I would've liked to get a copy of the EP. I'm really looking forward to their album.
  2. Wow! Cool news, I'll probably even make a trip down to Sydney for that one. I picked up originals of both Devils In Heaven CD singles today (and a CDR of David Whitney solo album) thanks to a fellow fan down in Sydney...now if only those guys and Roxus could do a reunion gig...that's be awesome. What'd be really cool is if all these 80's/90's aussie hard rock bands could get together and put on a show, each playing a set or something.
  3. Oh and 'Free 'N' Easy' is another great track of theirs.
  4. Yep, a great song, the whole album is pretty good really. 'Sin Against The Light' is another fav of mine. These guys would've been great to see live.
  5. Another up-coming Aussie band worth checking out...Spitfire Rain from Melbourne, Australia. There are only 2 songs to preview on their MySpace site but if these are any indicator of quality, this is one band to keep an eye out for. It's nice to hear some good female fronted rock coming out of Australia again. According to their MySpace page, a debut EP and extensive tour are scheduled to happen in 2009. Check them out here And here's an interview with lead singer Suzani Rain at May The Rock Be With You
  6. Yeah I thought the same thing, can't find it anywhere though.
  7. Cool, thanks for the update! I'll pick one up. are there discounts for multiple cd's? Yeah they have a discount special on ATM up to 20% off depending on the cost of your order. Small orders get a much smaller discount. Holy shit. Really? What else would you buy from there, though? Shit, I wish I'd looked at the other Silly Fools English EP. My thoughts exactly - what else would I want to buy from an on-line Thai record store? Probably not much.
  8. Yeah there's a few places in Japan selling this CD but unless you can read Japanese writing then you have no hope of geting it. Websites written in German etc. I can usually figure out using an online translator and know what I'm clicking on. But these Japanese websites...god only knows what buttons I'd be clicking on and what I'd be commiting myself to. Seems a lot of people have been asking the band about the Aussie release date etc. but the band chooses to ignore their fans. Pretty disappointing really.

  11. Cool, thanks for the update! I'll pick one up.
  12. Yeah I've been after this one for a while as well. Last time I looked I could only find one copy and it was quite expensive but looking now there are a few copies on E-Bay (though very hard to search for with a name like that) and it is also being sold on their website for 12 Euros. I think you can find it on Amazon as well. Blind CD on Amazon Blind CD on E-Bay US$19 Blind CD on their website
  13. Sounds good!! Are the two previous albums from '89 and '93 in English or foreign language?
  14. Has anyone heard anything more about this new John Waite band that was supposedly to surface in 2008?
  15. That's cool, heaps of extra stuff on them as well. Which label is doing the re-issue?
  16. I think a lot of the people buying his albums now are quite young and never claimed to be fans. Since MJ's death, they are becoming curious and wanting to hear more from him.
  17. Yep, incredible stuff! Definately the best album I've bought in a while.
  18. Very nice! I love it when bands go to the effort of making visually appealing cover art.
  19. As good as these players are, I must say that modern tennis is so unspectacular in comparison to the 90's and early 00's. There's no doubt Federer is an amazing, almost flawless player, but no one these days gives us the excitement and mixture of playing styles that Samprass, Agassi, Rafter, Becker etc. gave us. I'd love to see more serve-volley players come into the game again...that's were the real excitement of tennis can come from. Watching two base line players with heavy serves smash a ball at each other for 4 hours looses it's excitement after a while. Especially when the serves are so damn fast no one can break serve.
  20. A big week for me, among the highlights I picked up were: Planet 3 - A Heart From The Big Machine (Japanese) Safire - S/T EP Night Ranger - Live In Japan Sleeze Beez - Screwed Blued & Tattooed Sleeze Beez - Insanity Beach I/O - S/T EP Foolish Pleasure - S/T Bryan Hughes Group - Break The Rules Face To Face - S/T (France) Phil Cristian - No Prisoner
  21. Death Warrant - feat Van Damme, has a cool song called "Bring me A Dream" by Gary Chang, though I believe originally written by someone else. Cool early 90's action flick.
  22. If you like this album, make sure you check out this thread with some additional bonus tracks from the bands three singles. Three of these tracks are possibly better than the actual album tracks. Link ------------------- This week I bought: Bonfire - Don't Touch The Light (original) Richard Pleasance - Colour Blind (Boom Crash Opera related) Mario Resto - Scenes From The Reality New Soul Cowboys - S/T From Koogs: Centaur - Power World Stealin Horses - S/T From Geoff: Sheela - Changes Lita Ford - Black Gaeleri - Still Here... (some Whitesnake sounding songs) Hand Of Fate - S/T
  23. For those who care, probably not many, but these guys have a DVD coming out soon. I'm not yet sure of the track list but hopefully it will be mainly songs from their first album 'Five Star Laundry'. Very under-rated band!

    Degreed

Yeah sounds pretty good, I had a laugh at their list of influences - Toto and Michael Bolton followed by In Flames and Soilwork
  25. Now I must go and check out Shadows Fade, don't think I've heard anything from them. Ignore Geoff. Shadows Fade is under-produced drivel. Some good tunes, but a hopeless production and (considering the strength of the vocalist) the vocals are so down in the muddy mix you can barely hear them. lol... very agreeable with you. Well, there you go Justin. Two people's opinions you never need to bother with again. Seriously, though, this CD is amazing imho. I'm going to try and hear this one ASAP, will let you know whos side I take. BTW, for DaHun72's benefit, here's a really cool blog with an article all about Chalfant and all of his releases, check it out here. Okay, I've listened to Shadows Fade twice now and I have to say it's pretty decent. Not as good as the Storm discs but definately a strong album with some awesome songs. I'll be picking it up for sure.
